Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is in a serious need of visual and translation polish, especially for the price. Nice ideas but needs a better team
Notice: Review sponsored by HLF studio. Despite needing a bit of visual polishing and translation improvements, the game is pretty good. It has a solid story, enemies, collectible items, upgradeable weapons / powers, and more. In the game, you play as Frank during the witch trials era (where you could be hung for witchcraft for having a single mole), possibly somewhere around the Salem trials period, as Frank, who as a boy witnessed his sister's death at the hands of a witch as a result of being forced to flee the city after being accused of being a witch. After growing up, he became a witch hunter. Unfortunately, every "witch" he kills is innocent and wrongfully accused of being a witch, so he becomes depressed. After meeting a real witch, he becomes allies with her and she gives him the strength he needs to hunt real witches in the form of 3 gemstones. Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8YQPwBpjtM

Violent Witches: the Vindicator is a short dark-fantasy RPG that places storytelling, atmosphere, and morally complicated characters ahead of mechanical complexity. Developed and published by HLF studio, the game rebuilds ideas from earlier entries using RPG Maker MV while presenting the adventure as a self-contained experience. Its relatively brief five-to-six-hour campaign makes it approachable for players who enjoy narrative RPGs but do not necessarily want to commit dozens of hours to completing one. The story revolves around Frank, whose childhood tragedy ultimately defines the person he becomes. When his sister is accused of being a witch, the two attempt to escape together, only for them to encounter a genuine witch. His sister is killed, while circumstances surrounding the incident cause Frank to be regarded as the person responsible for defeating the witch. That misunderstanding follows him into adulthood, where he becomes a professional witch hunter. The disturbing part of this occupation is that many of his supposed targets are defenseless women accused without meaningful proof. This gives Frank a deliberately uncomfortable position within the story because his reputation as a heroic witch killer conflicts with the questionable reality behind his actions. His life changes after encountering Shuto, a genuine witch who provides him with three colored gems. These objects give Frank the means to confront actual supernatural threats and become important to both the gameplay and narrative. From this point forward, the adventure gradually reveals information about Shuto, Frank's past, and the wider circumstances surrounding witches. Instead of immediately explaining everything, the story distributes information throughout the journey, allowing seemingly separate events to gradually connect. This fragmented presentation creates a persistent sense of mystery and gives players a reason to pay attention to conversations and environmental details. Gameplay follows a recognizable top-down RPG structure, mixing exploration, dialogue, dungeon navigation, and combat. One welcome feature is the ability to choose which dungeon to approach rather than following an entirely fixed sequence. It does not transform the game into an open-world RPG, but it provides enough flexibility to make progression feel less restrictive. Eight distinctive witches form an important part of the adventure, with additional encounters and characters helping expand the experience. The colored gems also contribute to the companion mechanics, linking Frank's growing capabilities to an important element of the narrative rather than treating character progression as something completely disconnected from the plot. Difficulty options make the game particularly accessible. Players who want traditional resistance can approach the adventure normally, while Very Easy significantly reduces the challenge. There is also a No Enemy option designed for anyone who primarily wants to experience the narrative. This is an excellent inclusion for a story-focused RPG because combat does not become an unavoidable obstacle for players more interested in uncovering Frank's history. Hidden material after completing the main ending provides another reason to investigate the game beyond the initial playthrough, although expectations should remain appropriate for its deliberately compact scope. The visual presentation embraces an old-fashioned pixel-art style with anime-inspired characters and gloomy fantasy environments. It lacks the elaborate animation and environmental detail of larger RPG productions, but the simplicity suits the game's strange and melancholy personality. Dark locations, supernatural imagery, witches, violence, and unsettling situations reinforce the oppressive tone. The game contains blood and violent material alongside some suggestive background themes, although explicit sexual scenes are not part of the experience. There is no full voice acting, so much of the atmosphere depends on written dialogue, imagery, and music. The English localization is one of the weaker aspects of the overall package. Some dialogue can sound unnatural or awkward, occasionally reducing the emotional impact of scenes that are clearly intended to be serious. The central ideas remain understandable, but players accustomed to highly polished professional localization may notice rough wording. Combat and progression are similarly modest compared with more ambitious JRPGs. Anyone expecting extensive character building, enormous equipment systems, elaborate tactical mechanics, or dozens of hours of side content will probably find the experience too limited. Its strengths instead come from its unusual premise, compact pacing, mysterious characters, and willingness to place a morally compromised protagonist at the center of the narrative. Steam Deck compatibility is currently best regarded as unverified rather than officially confirmed as Verified or Playable. Because this is a comparatively lightweight RPG Maker title with straightforward controls and modest hardware requirements, it may be possible to run it through Steam Deck and Proton, but that should not be confused with an official compatibility guarantee. Players intending to experience the entire game exclusively on Steam Deck should therefore expect that manual configuration or compatibility quirks could potentially occur. Overall, Violent Witches: the Vindicator is most appealing as a small and unconventional narrative RPG rather than a mechanically ambitious adventure. Its story of accusations, genuine supernatural threats, personal tragedy, and the questionable mythology surrounding a supposed hero gives it more thematic weight than its simple presentation initially suggests. Rough English localization and limited mechanical depth hold it back, but flexible dungeon progression, accessibility options, distinctive witches, hidden content, and a manageable runtime help create an experience that is easy to approach and unusual enough to remain memorable.
