About

Verve is a liminal space horror game with an advanced, Source Engine-like movement system including but not limited to bhopping and surfing, allowing for a high-skill ceiling and infinite replayability. Verve includes a Backrooms-inspired singleplayer campaign, as well as a robust 128-tick multiplayer system with game modes like Hide and Seek and Nextbot Escape.

Play the Backrooms-inspired singleplayer campaign where you play as RT-6, a member of Percept Lab's professional rescue team. You are tasked to find a group of research scientists who sent out a call for help followed by radio silence. Explore the Verve, evade and hide from entities, make your way to the scientists, and uncover the dark truth behind Percept Labs. After being sent into the Verve dimension, you start to realize and uncover the dark truth about Percept Lab's practices, this isn't going to be a walk in the park.

Verve has a robust, 128-tick multiplayer architecture with player movement prediction and validation. Verve includes a dedicated server tool that allows for hosting servers, as well as player hosted servers, both of which you can join through Steam. Multiplayer includes game modes like Hide and Seek and Nextbot Escape.

Verve has a sophisticated movement system supporting consistent bhopping, air strafing, surfing, ladder strafing, trimping, and more. The movement system in Verve has been designed to imitate Counter-Strike: Source movement that you would find on bhop/surf servers with a few stylistic distinctions, notably slightly expanded upon water movement, different player height, and a crouch height closer to Half-Life 2.
