About

How much of yourself would you be willing to lose to save someone you love?
Utopia: Birth of the Heroes is a character‑driven fantasy visual novel about conviction, sacrifice, and the price of protecting those who matter most.
The story follows three distinct protagonists, each driven by a different vision of a perfect society. They’ll navigate hardship, political tension, and morally charged decisions. Every perspective reveals a different truth, and every “hero” believes that what they are doing is right and just.
FREDERICK

After a heartbreaking choice shatters his world, Frederick is left questioning everything... including himself. In his darkest moment, someone reminds him not of what he lost… but of what he saved.
True strength is not born from might. It is born from conviction — from choosing to protect, even when it hurts, giving birth to a true hero.
DIOMEDES

Diomedes does not seek to be a hero. He seeks to end suffering — no matter the cost. If saving those he loves demands cruelty, he will not hesitate to bear that burden... even if history brands him a villain.
A protector to some. A monster to others.
But whatever the case, Diomedes understands one truth better than anyone: the road to utopia is carved by those brave enough to be condemned for walking it.
ESKIL
As kingdoms burn, Eskil watches with quiet clarity. He believes there must be another way — one that doesn’t demand so much bloodshed.
In a war fueled by hardheaded conviction, his steady resolve may be the one force capable of changing everything.
Through multiple perspectives and narrative paths, Utopia challenges players to weigh the cost of their ideals and consider the consequences of each decision. Every choice shapes not only the characters’ relationships and personal journeys but also the fate of the world they hope to change. The result is a deeply immersive experience where the pursuit of utopia reveals just how fragile that dream can be.

Goated game tbh I have not gone that far, but the story so far has become very gripping very quickly. The characters have great dynamics with each other, and you can feel them be genuine people. (It is really refreshing too to see adult characters rather than teens saving the world yet again.) The music is absolutely top tier for a VN. I hope we can listen to the soundtrack outside the game someday! (Diomedes's theme goes HARD.) The way that they handle powers in this VN is pretty interesting too. I do not think I have seen a fantasy game that has abilities be more like super powers in a medieval setting rather than plain old generic magic. I do recommend!
I love RPG's and I always thought of giving a VN a try, this one did not disappoint. Even though the story is just unfolding, it keeps me well engaged to try and understand the motives of all the characters involved and thus advancing the story as how I would feel the characters would react. I have died a couple of times already, but even those "mistakes" give you bits of the story worth looking for. The characters and backgrounds are very well drawn and animated, and the music surrounding them really creates the environment to delve into the story. I'm looking forward to clear more chapters!

I got it because having 3 protagonists seemed pretty interesting for a VN and this game did not disappoint so far, each one has a unique enough role that it really makes sense for the game to have 3 POV characters. The cliffhanger at the end is absolute evil though. Music is magnificent, I can't wait to play and hear more chapters and OST's down the road. Story is great, kept me engaged for sure and the developments towards chapter 17 are reaching a breaking point, I really like it and hope to see more of this real soon. Artstyle is good as well, and very polished, overall a complete experience from start to finish.
Truly amazing and moving story!! If you love music and good story telling, this is it. The soundtrack is on point, bringing each scene to its emotional peak! I haven't finished the game, but I'm already excited for whats coming next!
This game has a lot of polish to it. Its artwork is excellent and the soundtrack really goes above and beyond expectations. This visual novel has a very "fresh" feeling to it, and starts introducing the reader to a rather interesting world. I'm eager to keep playing to know where things end up in the story.
I really like this game. It almost felt like Vinland Saga and Hero Academia had a baby... Let me explain myself The concept of a Utopia clearly made me think of Vinland Saga, but also the art style and character writing, while the magic/power system made me think of quirks in hero academia. Now, moving on to the review, I would start by talking about the characters, this game's cover art makes it clear from the get-go that we will be focusing on three different characters throughout the story, so did the trailers, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how they handled that. From the first chapter each character is introduced I was already attached and hooked on their stories. We first meet Frederick, and I'm not gonna lie, I loved the dynamics he has with the rest of the cast, his family feels real, their banter funny, and their love genuine, and this is not achieved through multiple chapters, from the first one their relationships are pretty well established, which makes the danger they face from the second chapter and onwards all the more tense, overall, I've loved what I've seen of this character so far. After him, we meet Diomedes, and from his first appearance you know he couldn't be more different from Frederick, this guy is rotten, but also quite intriguing, I'd say he definitively feels like a villain protagonist, but what I liked about him is how you see cracks show up on his act, specially around his sister; you can see there are clear moments where he second guesses his actions, but at the same time, he steels his resolve and move forward confidently... As much as I think he is wrong and rotten, I find it hard to root against him, he is just so fun to watch. Then the third protagonist the game introduces is Eskil, this one is still a wildcard, I'm not sure where the story will take him yet, but he's clearly got his own agenda, I would bet on this guy coming out on top between the three, whatever his powers are doing, he's clearly overpowered, and in a position to turn the tables. I think a fall-out or some kind of clash with this one and Diomedes will be inevitable and I'm excited to see it. If my talk about the characters didn't make it clear, I think that's the best part about the game and its story, and not just with the three protagonists, I really liked all of the cast, Medea and Emilia are particularly interesting to me and I really want to see what they do next. But the characters are not the only strengths of this game, I really liked the art, specially the colors and details in the designs and clothes of the characters. On another hand, the soundtrack is fantastic as well, it really caught me by surprise. It reminded me of some of my favorite game soundtracks of all time, I'm talking Nier Automata, Tsukihime, and Zelda, sad to see I can't buy it or find it on youtube yet... Overall, I think the game is doing a fantastic job with its premise, characters, and gameplay. I can only hope the developers update regularly until the game is out of Early Access, I'm really excited to see what they do next. I definitively recommend getting this one!
Well, I was absorbed and entranced! The story is rich, being a turmoil between nations, politics and war. I've gotten to chapter 6 so far but I feel like this is getting deeper and deeper! So far, what I've liked the most is how the narrative is, it feels like watching an anime episode as for how they describe the scenarios and the battles. I love it! The music is incredible to say the least, and the sound effects really garnish the animation. I will say I'm glad I gave this game a chance and you can tell there is a lot of love behind this, keep at it MC!
It's a solid VN with good visuals, good story and damn awesome music. Worth every penny.
I liked the music a lot, the villians and the story behind the game
