A nice idle game with cool mechanics, not a lot is in the game but for the price it is worth it. Reccommend waiting for a discount.
Really good idle game for the price. Progression is tight, steam achievements are simple and doable within ~15 hours, and the mechanics are really good. Suitable for both active and idle play i'd say, up until the very end. Some wording could be better and some mechanics could be better explained (i.e. what "incrimental" upgrades are without having to click a button in the research screen and what "quick research" does). Otherwise very much worth the money and an easy 100% for completionists. 8/10

Nice little incremental game. It could use a bit of a tutorial perhaps but it's easy enough to pick up. One thing I like is that in the options you can turn a bunch of stuff off which is handy when things speed up and get massively hectic! It's got a lovely chill soundtrack, the progression felt really smooth, it was satisfying to play, and pretty easy to get all the achievements. The 56 hours gameplay is probably around a dozen hours of active play and the rest is letting the game idle in the background.
I shouldn't be playing this… but here I am. I hope I can stop some day.
I hate upload
ABSOLUTELY. It doesn't take too long to 100%. It was some easy timewalls and it is pretty good for an idle game this niche. Wish this was more popular. 9.5/10
Upload Simulator takes one of the most ordinary activities imaginable—transferring files across the internet—and turns it into a surprisingly engaging incremental management game. Developed and published by EnigmaDev Studios, the game embraces the philosophy that even the simplest concept can become addictive when paired with meaningful progression systems. At first glance, the idea of spending hours managing uploads and downloads may sound absurd, but the game quickly demonstrates why idle and incremental titles continue to attract dedicated audiences. Through constant upgrades, expanding technology trees, and increasingly complex systems, Upload Simulator transforms a mundane task into a satisfying journey of digital growth. The gameplay begins with humble limitations. Transfer speeds are slow, storage capacity is restricted, and resources arrive at a modest pace. Players earn currency and reputation by handling file transfers, gradually reinvesting those earnings into better equipment and improved infrastructure. This early stage is intentionally restrained, allowing players to appreciate every upgrade. The difference between the starting setup and the advanced systems unlocked later creates a rewarding sense of progress that remains one of the game's greatest strengths. What makes Upload Simulator more compelling than many basic clicker games is the number of interconnected mechanics layered on top of its central premise. Hardware improvements are only one part of the equation. Players eventually gain access to research projects that unlock new technologies and open additional paths for advancement. Instead of endlessly purchasing the same upgrades with larger numbers attached, the game steadily introduces fresh objectives that encourage experimentation and planning. This approach helps maintain engagement over long sessions and prevents the experience from feeling overly repetitive. The research system plays a particularly important role in shaping progression. New discoveries often unlock entirely different opportunities rather than simple statistical boosts. As players invest in technological development, they begin to feel as though they are building a sophisticated digital empire rather than merely increasing upload speeds. The game's theme of technological advancement is conveyed effectively through these systems, creating a satisfying sense of moving from basic consumer hardware to futuristic networking solutions. Another feature that adds variety is the inclusion of special abilities and active gameplay elements. While Upload Simulator can certainly be enjoyed as a largely passive experience, it also gives players opportunities to accelerate progress through strategic interactions. Temporary bonuses and special actions break up the routine of waiting for resources to accumulate, creating moments where player involvement can significantly influence efficiency. This balance between idle progression and active participation allows the game to appeal to different playstyles. Random events contribute additional unpredictability to the experience. Unexpected situations can interrupt established routines, forcing players to react and adapt. These events help keep the gameplay loop fresh and prevent long stretches of automation from becoming too predictable. Similarly, collectible artifacts provide unique bonuses that can dramatically improve performance. Finding these valuable items introduces a welcome element of discovery and excitement, rewarding players who continue pushing deeper into the game's systems. As progression continues, Upload Simulator expands beyond simple file transfers. Manufacturing systems, power management, and advanced optimization mechanics gradually become available. These additions deepen the strategic side of the game and give experienced players more opportunities to fine-tune their operations. Rather than relying solely on increasing numerical values, the game continuously introduces new mechanics that build upon previous ones. This layered design helps maintain a sense of growth even after many hours of play. The prestige system serves as the foundation for long-term replayability. Once players reach certain milestones, they can reset portions of their progress in exchange for permanent advantages. This familiar incremental-game mechanic is implemented effectively, encouraging multiple playthrough cycles without making previous efforts feel wasted. Each new run becomes faster and more efficient, reinforcing the rewarding feeling of mastering increasingly complex systems. Visually, the game adopts a functional and minimalist presentation. Most of the player's time is spent navigating menus, examining statistics, and managing upgrades. The interface prioritizes clarity over spectacle, which is ultimately the right choice for a game built around optimization and resource management. While players looking for elaborate graphics may find the presentation basic, the clean design ensures that information remains easy to understand and access. The biggest limitation of Upload Simulator is that its appeal depends heavily on appreciation for incremental gameplay. Players seeking story-driven adventures, action-packed challenges, or deep character interactions may struggle to connect with its mechanics. The experience is fundamentally about efficiency, progression, and watching systems grow more powerful over time. For enthusiasts of the genre, however, those elements are precisely what make the game enjoyable. Upload Simulator succeeds because it fully commits to its unusual concept and supports it with a surprisingly robust collection of progression mechanics. Every upgrade, research project, artifact, and prestige cycle contributes to a satisfying sense of advancement that keeps players chasing the next milestone. While its niche premise may not attract everyone, fans of idle and incremental games will likely appreciate the depth hidden beneath its deceptively simple surface. By transforming routine file transfers into an engaging optimization challenge, EnigmaDev Studios has created a game that understands the addictive appeal of steady, meaningful progress. Rating: 8/10
