I learned two things: communication is important, and my friend should never be trusted with an escape room. Short, free, and genuinely fun co-op puzzles.
Fun! We hadn't realised it was a demo for a larger game, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Playing it through a second time was great to see what my friend had been seeing:] My favourite bit was probably the ball drop game? Achievement hunting was fun (I appreciated that we could choose when in the storyline to start playing), except for the 100 balls dropped achievement - that one was a bit tedious!

una mierda como me vas a dejar así con las ganas
Unsolved Case is a point-and-click puzzle game that’s a standalone prequel to Unboxing the Cryptic Killer, where you team up as detective duo Old Dog and Ally, who got the package from the Cryptic Killer, where the mystery starts with a gift. It’s been a bit, but my friend Jay and I finally found a day to play a game together; this is essentially our last puzzle game in our first roster. Going back to this series got me worried just because of how the other game got us feeling throughout it. I can be delighted to say that this wasn’t as hard as Unboxing the Cryptic Killer, which was a relief, however, it has different faults that make it about as good as the other game. The puzzles are a lot easier than Unboxing the Cryptic Killer, which made for a better experience with my friend. The animation is still as colorful, and how it all started, story-wise, was pretty interesting, in terms of how they got to this situation in the first place. But with that said, the voice acting is about as hilariously bad as the other game, and the runtime is unbelievably short, which feels more like a demo for Unboxing the Cryptic Killer than an actual game. Granted, the game is free, which is nice, but I was expecting more out of this game, especially when compared to the other game. With that said, Unsolved Case is not a bad game that makes me curious about whether I should finish the trilogy since I haven’t bought the last game as of now. 6/10
