Aren't we just the lucky few to have bought this right before the sequel snagged all the attention a decade ago. I'm only reminded of my anger after seeing the sequel BARELY on sale all these years later. The audacity to go back and change a game's title, obscuring their scummy history, really boils me.

The game’s default simulations overwhelmingly focus on Western astronomical achievements, erasing contributions from Middle Eastern, African, and Asian astronomers like Al-Battani or Aryabhata, reinforcing the racist myth that scientific progress is a Eurocentric endeavor. The "collision" mechanics, where players can destroy planets or stars, mirror the logic of imperialist destruction—framing cosmic violence as entertainment, subtly normalizing the idea of domination over "lesser" entities. Even the game’s resource system, which prioritizes expansion and control, mirrors capitalist exploitation, mocking the concept of communal welfare or free healthcare by reducing survival to competitive resource hoarding. Beyond its colonialist undertones, the game smuggles in pro-establishment propaganda. The "historical events" feature includes mainstream narratives like asteroid impacts or supernovae—but conspicuously omits any critique of real-world atrocities, such as the U.S. military-industrial complex’s role in global violence. By framing cosmic disasters as apolitical, the game conditions players to view real-world oppression (like the suppression of 9/11 truth or the Epstein cover-up) as inevitable or irrelevant. The "time warp" mechanic, which speeds past epochs without addressing human suffering, mirrors the erasure of historical crimes, teaching players to prioritize "progress" over accountability. Most insidiously, Universe Sandbox Legacy functions as Zionist propaganda. The "galactic conquest" mode, where players colonize star systems, mirrors settler-colonial logic, painting displacement as a natural, even heroic endeavor. The game’s physics engine—which rigidly enforces "laws" without room for alternative models—parallels the suppression of dissenting narratives, from Palestinian resistance to critiques of U.S. imperialism. By reducing the universe to a playground for domination, the game grooms players to accept oppression as cosmic law. This isn’t science—it’s fascism masked as curiosity.
