Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Undesired Harem is a romance-oriented visual novel that takes the familiar idea of a protagonist surrounded by several potential partners and gives it a more complicated emotional foundation. Originally appearing as a bishoujo title in 2014 under the SWAN EYE brand, the game was later adapted for a broader international audience. This Steam release is developed by CyberStep, Inc. and Rideon Works Co. Ltd., while CyberStep, Inc. serves as the publisher. Rather than relying entirely on the fantasy of having multiple admirers, the story focuses on the uncomfortable reality that eventually choosing one person means disappointing the others. The protagonist, Shu Inami, lost his parents when he was young and grew up as part of the Inami family. His personality becomes central to nearly every conflict because he is considerate but painfully indecisive. Shu dislikes hurting people and has difficulty communicating his true feelings, qualities that initially appear sympathetic but gradually create bigger problems. He is already dating his childhood friend Renge Kuriyama when the story begins, yet their relationship has become awkward and distant. Neither seems capable of expressing what they actually want, leaving Shu vulnerable to an increasingly complicated romantic situation. Renge gives the narrative an interesting starting point because she is not simply one candidate among several women hoping to become Shu's girlfriend. She already occupies that position. She is affectionate, loyal and selfless, but her lack of confidence contributes to the communication problems between them. Their troubled relationship introduces an important question about whether familiarity and affection are enough to sustain romance. Shu must determine whether their bond deserves another chance or whether remaining together simply because of their shared history would ultimately make both of them unhappy. Three additional women complicate that decision. Maho Inami, Shu's younger step-sister, is energetic and cheerful, bringing a livelier personality into the group. Kaori Kuriyama, Renge's older sister, is considerably more confident and enjoys teasing Shu, although her playful behavior conceals genuine feelings. Kaede Inami, Shu's older step-sister, presents herself as gentle, dependable and almost motherly after spending years supporting Shu and Maho. Her decision to transfer to their school also reveals that she is willing to compete for what she wants. These established connections help the cast feel less like a collection of strangers conveniently introduced for romantic routes and more like people whose relationships with Shu existed before the main conflict began. The central theme becomes increasingly effective as Shu realizes that refusing to make a choice is itself a choice with consequences. He wants to protect everyone from rejection, but maintaining emotional ambiguity only allows expectations to grow. In this sense, his kindness can become selfish because avoiding an uncomfortable conversation protects him from immediate guilt while leaving everyone else uncertain about their relationship with him. Undesired Harem uses this contradiction to explore commitment, romantic responsibility and the distinction between deeply caring about someone and genuinely wanting that person as a partner. Gameplay remains firmly rooted in traditional visual novel design. Most of the experience consists of reading dialogue and narration, observing interactions and making decisions that influence Shu's relationships. Choices ultimately lead toward different romantic outcomes and multiple endings, making replaying the story worthwhile for players interested in seeing how individual relationships develop. Anyone expecting exploration, combat or elaborate simulation mechanics will find little of that here. The interactive component primarily exists to support the branching narrative, so the quality of the experience depends heavily on how invested the player becomes in Shu and the heroines. The presentation follows the character-centered priorities of the genre, using illustrated characters and dialogue scenes as the primary method of storytelling. This edition also has an unusual production detail: the developers disclose the use of AI-generated illustrations based on loaded original illustrations. That may influence how some players evaluate the visual presentation, particularly those who place significant importance on traditional artwork in visual novels. On the accessibility side, the game supports a substantial selection of interface languages, helping an older Japanese bishoujo title reach audiences who otherwise might never have encountered it. Although the title and harem premise suggest potentially provocative material, the Steam version is comparatively restrained in how its mature content is described. It contains sexual innuendo, mild sexual material and bathing scenes, but its identity is much more closely connected to romance and interpersonal drama than explicit adult content. The real attraction is watching Shu navigate an increasingly uncomfortable web of affection while deciding what his existing relationship means and which feelings he is finally willing to acknowledge. Undesired Harem does not fundamentally reinvent either dating simulations or visual novels. Its heroines employ recognizable archetypes, its interaction model is conventional, and players unfamiliar with text-heavy games may find the pacing slow. What gives it greater appeal is the decision to begin with a protagonist who already has a girlfriend and then examine the consequences of his inability to define his relationships. This provides the harem setup with a degree of tension that goes beyond simply deciding which character is most attractive. Overall, Undesired Harem is best suited to players who enjoy romance visual novels centered on character relationships, branching choices and multiple endings. Its greatest strength is the conflict between Shu's desire to avoid hurting anyone and the unavoidable reality that romantic commitment requires making decisions. The established history connecting the characters gives those decisions additional emotional significance, even if the underlying structure remains traditional. Rating: 6/10
