Roguelike Deckbuilder × Spatial Strategy × Card Fusion
Simply collecting cards isn't enough.
Which cards will you choose?
How will you combine, rotate, and place them?
And what will you fuse to create something new?
In Underveil, you build both your cards and your board.

In Underveil, getting a card is only the beginning.
Fuse two cards to create a new one,
then place it on your board.
Combine cards with different shapes and effects,
rotate them, overlap them, and create something new.
Fuse two cards into one that takes up less space,
or combine different effects to create new synergies.
It's not just about what you get.
It's about how you combine it.

In most deckbuilding games,
you have to play cards within a limited amount of Energy.
But in Underveil, there is no Energy cost.
Instead, what limits you is the space on your board.
Play the cards you want,
Where will you place them?
How will you rotate them?
What will you overlap?
The question isn't
how many cards you can play,
but how efficiently you can use the board you've been given.
That is what shapes combat in Underveil.

You begin with a small 3×4 board.
But at Sanctums, you can expand your board,
and engrave powerful effects onto new cells
to shape a board of your own.
One cell. Two cells. Three cells…
The larger your board becomes,
the more cards you can place
and the more combinations and strategies you can create.

Cells that grant Strength and Agility,
cells that let you draw more cards,
even Black Holes that remove cards from the board.
What kind of cells will you create?
Where will you place each effect?
And which cards will you place on them?
You're not just building a deck.
Your board has a spatial build.**
Monsters are more than just enemies that attack you.
Some monsters lock cells on your board,
making them unusable.

Others place Thorns that interfere with your card placement.

Other monsters spread Spider Webs across the board,
while powerful enemies can create Black Holes that threaten the entire board.

Expanding your board and engraving it with effects is your choice,
but how that board gets disrupted is up to the monsters.
Exciting monster mechanics await.
SHAPE YOUR BOARD.**
Fuse your cards,
expand your board,
engrave powerful effects,
and find the perfect move.
What you build is more than just a deck.
