Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 11 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As a fan of the rest of Chilla's catalog I was initially a bit skeptical of this one. A fishing game? That is a massive departure from the short, quirky, low-fi narrative-driven walking sims that this developer is known for making. And yet after finishing it, there is no doubt in my mind that this game has all of the best aspects of Chilla's Art's design and imagination, just now in an experience with actual gameplay and mechanics. To call UMIGARI exceptionally weird is apt and yet totally reductive. This game is deeply unsettling in a lot of ways but it is not exactly a horror game. At first glance it may be tempting to write it off as random and off-putting for the sake of being random and off-putting, but there is a definite, established world and lore at play here and it was fascinating to explore and uncover the mystery through this bizarre odyssey. There is a lot more going on than fish with human teeth and people with fishy eyes. Chilla's Art has come a long way from games like Stigmatized Property. I found myself obsessed with UMIGARI until I had squeezed out nearly every salty drop; I even tackled some of the optional bosses that are meant to be fought in the endgame. The idea of a Chilla's Art game even having bosses or an endgame is a bit insane when you think of the rest of their games, and that is one of the reasons why UMIGARI is so darned impressive. Chilla's Art continually shows that they are willing to take chances and just try things in their games without fear of being imperfect or making mistakes. I wish that I had a sliver of that confidence! Though this is a much longer game than their previous walking simulators, UMIGARI ends at the right time. They do a lot with the spearfishing mechanics but there is only so much that you can actually do before the loop begins to feel a bit tired. There are some late game innovations where the fishing actually feels a bit more like combat than anything else, but I still felt myself getting a bit tired of it as I got close to the end. I might even say that the game overstays it welcome, if only just slightly. Despite that, UMIGARI is an easy recommendation. There is so much confidence and gusto on display here. Go into it knowing as little as possible because you are in for a heck of a ride. I find it incredibly exciting that Chilla's Art has now proven that they are not only capable of telling a good story and scaring the heck out of us; they are also capable of making a game that is fun to engage with and play, even as you are cringing in horror every time a speared fish lets out a very human-sounding yelp.

_________________________________ After playing almost every Chilla's Art game, I can honestly say this is one of the studio's most interesting experiments. Instead of relying entirely on narrow corridors, constant chase sequences, and psychological horror, they decided to change the formula by introducing open exploration, harpoon fishing, boat upgrades, and a progression system. It feels fresh and proves that the developers aren't afraid to try something different. The atmosphere is the game's biggest strength. Thick fog, the endless sea, strange creatures, and the constant feeling that something is lurking beneath the water create a unique sense of tension. The horror is definitely lighter than in games like Night Delivery, Parasocial, The Closing Shift, or Shinkansen 0, but in return you get a much deeper gameplay loop. Exploring new areas, upgrading your equipment, and uncovering the mysteries of the sea kept me engaged from start to finish. It's not perfect, though. Going for 100% completion can become a little grindy, especially when farming money or searching for specific rare fish. I also would have liked a few more memorable horror moments, since that's what made many of the studio's previous titles so special. Even so, these are relatively small issues compared to everything the game does well. For me, this isn't Chilla's Art's scariest game, but it is definitely one of their most creative. It's great to see the developers evolving instead of repeating the same formula over and over again. If you've enjoyed their previous games, this is absolutely worth playing.
Interesting game with some grindy elements too. The ocean is open to freely explore and sail around and there are bigger scarier fish too. 🐟
Great job love all his other games
Surprisingly hopeful despite the bleak world and horror baked into every inch of this game. Wonderful story and great fish designs. If you enjoy Dredge an absolute must buy, if you enjoy this and have yet to play Dredge id suggest you try it. Best 15 bucks I've spent in a while
