Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As someone with a longtime passion for the history of the American Civil War and a devotee of tactical wargaming, Ultimate General: Civil War stands as one of the most compelling and faithful digital representations of 19th-century warfare crafted. It is a thoughtful, visceral homage to an era defined by smoke-choked fields, iron discipline, and impossible decisions made in real time. Every element, from the regimental structure to the terrain modeling, reflects a devout commitment to historical authenticity. The developers clearly did their homework—orders are relayed with delay, morale matters more than numbers, and every fence line, creek, and elevation shift matters in the calculus of combat. You don’t command faceless troops—you shepherd regiments with histories, veterans whose effectiveness rises or wanes with your stewardship. The persistent army mechanic brings an emotional weight rarely seen in strategy titles. You’ll remember the 2nd Pennsylvania as not just a unit, but as survivors of the Hornet’s Nest and the Bloody Lane. The campaign flows dynamically, with battles not merely thrown at you but earned—or avoided—through your decisions. The Battle of Antietam doesn’t just “happen” because a script says so; it’s part of a living strategic timeline that responds to your successes and failures. Visually, the game presents a painterly battlefield, like a lithograph in motion. Sound design is spartan but effective—the distant boom of cannon, the crackling musketry, the faint strains of martial music conjure a time when war was both a spectacle and a tragedy. This is not Total War. This is something leaner and altogether more honest. If you’re looking for flashy cinematics or simplified engagements, look elsewhere. But if you want to stand on the hills of Fredericksburg, praying your green troops don’t break, or hold the Sunken Road as your left flank evaporates, this game will give you that in spades. Ultimate General: Civil War is what happens when game design meets historical reverence—and it delivers a battlefield experience that is as sobering as it is exhilarating.
