Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2

Genuinely shocked at how much worse UEBS2 is than UEBS1. It's like the developer took a fat dookie (#2... see what I did there), put it onto a USB, downloaded it and smeared it on UEBS1. I loved the first game and I can't understand for the life of me how UEBS2 is rated as "Very Positive". Almost everything is a downgrade in 2, you can tell the developer prioritised getting as many characters on screen as possible over everything else. The graphics are worse, characters can't even load properly and look terrible unless you're face to face with them. You can only have 4 teams instead of 8, most characters are the same, some categories have even less than they did in 1, you can't group teams into smaller chunks to arrange them. The maps are useless for visualisation, you can't see where anything is so it's a mystery where you're even placing your units. This is such a flop, seriously do not buy this one you are wasting your money. The developer needs to go back to UEBS1 and forget about bigger battle sizes, 1 has enough units, focus on what each unit can actually do, give them more abilities, different fighting techniques, actions, banter, whatever else that makes them come alive so it feels more like a real battle with real characters that feel unique not just copy and paste of the same sprite. You have the recipe, you have the ability to redeem yourself for UEBS3, take your time and prioritise fun over everything else, if it's not fun then what's the point.

Made a match between Saitama from one punch man and Goku from Dragon ball. Saitama ended up winning. Hot take?

really good game and really fun. but there is no way to delete mods. 4/5 stars

It was cool for the first 2 battles then immediately felt like i've done all there was to do in the game. I found myself wanting to play Total war instead to get some epic battles going. If there had been better movements in the AI and more building based maps it might have been more fun in the end.

UEBS2 feels like a tech demo that escaped containment. You spawn a bunch of dudes, they run at each other, and that’s… basically the whole game. The chaos is funny for five minutes, then you realize there’s nothing underneath except your GPU crying in the corner. It’s like buying a sandbox and discovering it’s just a bucket of lag.

it's a good game if you like messing around with fights, sadly i dont think it gets updates anymore
