One of the best games I have ever played, hands down. It is so addictive, I lose track of the time, and abruptly realize that I have spent the entire afternoon or evening lost in this game, to the point where I have to force myself to stop playing so I can sleep or eat and get actual real life things done.
The graphics are outstanding - funny and endearing and clever characters and animations, from mundane objects to incredible artifacts, to detailed reactions and facial expressions of the people visiting your museum. The interface is easy to use and intuitive, the game itself is easy to learn - helped even more so by the tutorials in the Campaign as you progress - and whenever you find yourself with a challenge that you can't figure out, just hovering your mouse over any area will quickly bring you to the correct solution. The gameplay is a joy - fun, immersive, challenging (but not to where you get frustrated), progressive, and endlessly re-playable.
I love that they didn't create just a single museum, with a single theme and a handful of locations. They created many different museums each with a different theme, in many different locations, each with its own characters and storylines and goals and architectural/design, with dozens and dozens of locations for your archaeological team to explore for artifacts. An Art Museum, a Prehistory museum, a Botany museum, a Marine Life museum, a spirit/ghost museum, a space exhibit museum, a science museum, and on and on. Most of these are complete, too, and the depth of each one is incredible. Of course you can buy additional DLC's that take certain ones even deeper - like the Art Museum and the Arty-Facts DLC - but that's not even necessary, each museum and storyline being massive in terms of gameplay and objects and goals and characters, etc.
I can't give this game a high enough rating. Just an all-around FANTASTIC experience! Even at the normal $30 price, it is worth every penny (and I usually wait until games are on sale). Get this game!!
