Only buy it on sale - it's not worth $25: it's only got about 90 min of content, and it's just not $25 quality. I got it for $5 and feel alright with that. Otherwise, pretty fun, some good puzzles but also a couple really annoying ones. Mostly the annoyance came from running around not knowing what the game wanted me to do, since it doesn't really communicate with the player. The concept and some implied story beats are creepy, but the game itself isn't particularly scary. You'll probably get jumpscared a few times. The last
crystal
section was the scariest part, I wish it was longer/more of the game had that vibe.
Knowing Laika was in the freezer freaked me out, though. Loved that.
There were a few kinda tropey things going on in the story, which is generally a neutral thing, but it got on my nerves.
For instance, creepy poems and nursery rhymes, brilliant-but-negligent dad, mentally ill mom who resents her family, magic science crystals that use science music to science you into the computer, etc. The creepy poems you see in every horror game; the family dynamics you see in every drama; the sci-fi babble you can get from idk Rick and Morty or something.
Also, you cant run the game without the ubisoft launcher, which is ridiculous to me, especially because you have to download it separately. The game files has the download file in it, but still it just seems weird. All in all, it's a fine game, it's just not recommendation-worthy. Maybe I'm coming from a bit of a jaded place (had the game on my wishlist for years because the description sounded interesting and the promo art looks very stylish. Didn't meet expectations.)

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
Do not by this if you want to play it in VR. you have to launch the game first then switch it into VR mode in the setting. But once you do that then the game will not recognize any inputs. Absolutely infuriating.......
Meh...
Three perspectives on a single story No matter how a situation turns out, every participant will have their own view of the order of things. The game serves as a reminder of how important it is to learn to put oneself in other people's shoes and try looking at the world from different angles. The gameplay and visuals do not exist separately from the plot; they work in tandem, almost physically conveying the breakdown of consciousness and memory among interconnected people. At the center of the narrative is what seems like an ordinary family at first glance, but what on earth is happening around them, and where is everyone? That is precisely what you have to find out. The ability to switch between realities — which represent the worldviews of different people — with a simple snap is a brilliant touch. This is not just wandering through rooms; it is literally reconstructing someone else's traumas on the fly, as if operating inside a broken, looping program. An atmospheric, dramatic, deep, and stylish journey full of glitches and neon lights from start to finish, lasting three hours—it is time exceptionally well spent that flew by in a flash.
Impossible to have 60fps here, just a bad 30fps.
my review is going to be based on why i wouldn't pay full price for the game i got it on sale for 5$ and well i don't think i would pay more than that for it. first and foremost you MUST sign into ubisoft to play the game for the first time so if you think you can play it later without internet well you can't the graphics for the VR are i would say decent not the best but have played worse and enjoyed them more because the main turn off to the game are the VR controls they are down right HORRABLE now i am using the PSVR2 but still this is the only game that i have ever had to click in the joysticks to move i've tried to change it in the settings but was unable to change how i move having to push in on the joystick then foreword to more foreword is just lackluster IMO kills the fun that could be had
If you're a fan of The 7th Guest, or 11th Hour, this is a nice companion game. Not as in depth with the puzzles, but right there in terms of great story telling and puzzle creation. I had a ton of fun with this. You don't need a crazy detailed walkthrough for this. It is approachable enough to pick up and play. Acting is also superb. Not tons of FMV, but what is there is great.
