This is almost a twin of Microsoft Train Simulator, but the graphics are more realistic there are people in the trains and platforms and the drivers in the engines and trains are visible, it's a great find

Chceš jezdit po českých tratích, které znáš z YouTube? S českými vlaky? Teoreticky žádný problém. Prakticky si ale připrav peněženku. Train Simulator je dnes už legenda – hra vyšla původně v roce 2009 a dlouhé roky patřila mezi nejlepší vlakové simulátory na trhu. Já jsem si ji koupil před několika lety právě proto, že to byl jeden z prvních opravdu „pořádných“ simulátorů vlaků. A základ hry funguje dobře – model řízení, množství tratí, obrovská komunita. Jenže pokud chceš jezdit české komunitní tratě jako Kladské pomezí, Praha-Uhříněves – Ústí nad Labem a další, tak to nekončí jen u základní hry. Budeš potřebovat několik DLC, aby ti komunitní mapy vůbec správně fungovaly. Klíčové je například DLC Munich–Augsburg, které obsahuje scénář „Wash and Go“ – ten je často nutný pro správné fungování českých tratí protože jinak ti hra padá nebo další DLC aby jsi mohl otevírat dveře u vlaků. Reálně počítej s tím, že si přikoupíš minimálně 4–5 DLC. Ve slevě tě to může vyjít kolem 15–20 €. Já jsem si postupně dokoupil několik rozšíření, nainstaloval hromadu objektů a komunitních balíčků – a pak už to fungovalo bez problémů. Pokud chceš víc autenticity, můžeš si koupit i placené české lokomotivy, například CityElefant, případně třeba Vectron kdy je oba doporučuju a popřípadě být na komunitních railworks discordech kde chodí updaty na vlaky , mapy a také scénáře které můžeš hrát. Upřímně? Hra by si po tolika letech zasloužila lepší grafiku i optimalizaci. Je znát, že běží na starším základu. Některé části působí zastarale a výkon není vždy ideální. Ale… Pokud si chceš prostě zajezdit vláčky, baví tě české tratě a nechceš investovat do novějších titulů jako Train Sim World nebo SimRail, tak je Train Simulator pořád solidní volba. Jen musíš počítat s tím, že bez DLC to u českých komunitních map nepůjde.

Malgré son âge, Train Simulator Classic reste, à mes yeux, le meilleur simulateur de train. Oui, le jeu commence à dater et son moteur graphique montre parfois ses limites. Mais avec les bons mods, les améliorations de la communauté et les nombreuses lignes disponibles, il offre une expérience d'une richesse incroyable. La conduite est immersive, le contenu est immense et il y a toujours de nouvelles lignes, locomotives ou améliorations à découvrir. Peu de jeux peuvent se vanter d'avoir une communauté aussi active après autant d'années. Ce n'est pas un jeu parfait, mais si vous prenez le temps de l'améliorer avec les mods, il reste une référence incontournable pour tous les passionnés de simulation ferroviaire. Pour moi, malgré les nouveaux concurrents, Train Simulator Classic reste le roi du genre.

You have to pay for everything

TSC is an old train sim now, but it's still fun. I am enjoying it so far. The reason I decided to try it is because there is a lot of content available for it. I waited for a big sale and stocked up on a bunch of DLC's. I mostly like driving American freight trains, and for TSC, there is plenty of DLC freight trains and routes to choose from. Overall, I have no big complaints. The graphics are dated, but they're good enough to get by with. One thing to keep in mind is that TSC is old and runs on DX9. This means that the sim's performance is not so great, so don't expect to get high frame rates. I notice frame rates can drop down to 30 fps in some scenarios, but It is still smooth enough at that frame rate though. If you get below 30 fps, you will see the slideshow effect. I did need to reduce certain graphics settings even though I have modern high end hardware. Anti Aliasing really destroys performance, so I recommend using a low AA setting. Also the scenery density and shadows settings hurts performance a lot in some scenarios so I recommend reducing those settings. Yes, it's old as I said, but the large amount of available content still makes buying TSC worth it once you get it running smoothly.
