Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.71/day in the week to Sep 15 → 17.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews

Just classic JRPG. Honestly, nothing so special, it just good.
Consistent with Trails and A classic typical JRPG fair
100%ed first playthrough of the game and initial impressions are mid at best. short version: -lack of attention to detail -very grindy -stale combat where AoE is king -OK story with too much dumb fluff lack of attention to detail: - game has been out nearly a year at my time of reviewing and a staggering at least 30% of the achievements just don't work which is pretty awesome. - inconsistency in writing versus art / scene. most glaring example that comes to mind near the end is a very casual scene where you're told, "let's go to the lounge and i'll even make non-alcoholic cocktails" proceed on to the scene and they are sitting at a an empty table together. couldn't be bothered with the asset I guess. it makes the writing feel clumsy. very grindy: - as someone who has a love for the grind and goes for maximum min/max to tackle any optional content that may come along this game is simply not it. you grind in this game just to survive. the scaling falls off a cliff so grinding is about treading water not getting ahead and it seemingly always feels like you're behind (from at least a level standpoint) - ng+ giving the option to scale is cool i guess but it's just more of the same, playthrough 1 is to level 46-50 depending on your grind so i guess ng+ you'll finish level 100. novel really. - if you decide you want perfect everything for all characters the resource bottleneck is pretty absurd - btw tons of cooking recipes are gated by drop only ingredients, i didn't bother to start cooking until chapter 3 my fault really) but even then if i didnt first try every cook i had to that point i didn't have enough resources. like LOLWHAT combat: - position first turn to bait enemies into staying within your defined aoe range. cast aoe. profit. do this over and over with the exception of realistically 1 boss fight where there are not multiple enemies - multi phase battles feel really bad because of the cp and limit break system story: - the bones overall are generic but good - the actually story itself without all the fluff of trying to "learn to adult" and "enjoy having an adventure" amounts to maybe 8% of the game really wanted to enjoy this game more but it doesn't hit the same way or have the same polish as the hype had me believe.
I like coming up with game ideas in my free time. One idea for a game I've had for a long time I've always wondered why there is no game like it. It's been my dream game that I've fantasised about yet had come to accept that it didn't exist. I've only played Trials in the Sky 1st Chapter for a couple of hours but all I can say is that this is almost exactly what I had envisioned and fantasised about, the game I thought would never exist. A game with food, combat, fantasy setting, guild, temporary and permanent stat buffs that are obtainable. I've had my eye on this game since it launched, however I never dug too deep. I felt like the pricetag just didn't justify it so I never looked into it more. When I tried the game the other day I found out how good of a game this is, only a couple of hours before the summer sale went away I grabbed this game for 40€. The gameplay is smooth, the performance is quite good, the voice acting isn't horrible (I use the japanese voice acting since that's what I prefer however I tried the English as well and would not say it's bad), the map is interactive and dialoges of NPCs changes over time which makes the world so much more immersive, not to mention the aesthetics, they're wonderful. The graphics really fit the feel of a fantasy world where things don't look bad, but they give the vibe of some older games but with a more modern polish. The only negative I can say so far is that not all NPC dialogue is voice acted, sure that's how it is with almost all games and "voice acting costs money, so why spend it on less important NPCs?" but I feel like it does slightlyl break the immersion. That's just a nitpick ofcourse, all in all this is from what I've experienced so far a fantastic game and I would for sure recommend :D.
Lo voy empezando pero tiene todo el espíritu de los Tales of... franquicia de la que soy fan hace años, muy buen juego
I will not sit here and pertend this is the best JRPG ever created but it is a great entry point into a series that has a lot of good to offer. Big recommend, it's slow to start but if you're thinking of picking it up before the second chapter comes out I would say go for it. (SC is true peak, we're just getting started)
