Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

An extremely charming game and I'm happy to finally be able to call myself a fan of the series. I cannot wait to continue this journey and see where the characters go from here. That being said I'm absolutely spoiled rotten by the remake and REALLY hope they continue to remake the games beyond the 2nd one that's already scheduled to be released. I'd love to play the entire series and doing it with the new visuals at the very least would be great. PS- I love Estelle

My first Trails game so no reference to the original or others in the series. This game is phenomenal the gameplay is great combining a very simple actions system that compliments the turn based and the transition between them is very smooth. The art and story is great! The build system has much more depth than I expected and makes for a really adaptable and fun way to build your characters. Generally Id say this game combines some the best elements of Valkyria, classic FF, and a Tales game all in one. The only thing so far I'd say would make the game better is full voice acting of every line. 9/10 am very excited for Ch2.

Best turn-based combat I have played in some time. It's similar to BG3 (position-based) but much more fast paced and more turn manipulation. Story and worldbuilding are also really great. I'm still in the second town but I love every character & quest so far, and I heard it will keep getting even better. The fact that random NPCs in town have their own story that progress as you progress the main quest is such a nice touch. It makes the town feels alive. And you're telling me this is the first of a 13-entry long series? Consider me a fan.

On it's own is a great game that brings out the full potential of turn based combat, being both fast paced and it doubles down on the strategy turn based lives and dies by through adding positioning of characters and attacks to staples like buffs/debuff management and turn order manipulation. But then on top of that it's just the first game in a thirteen game saga all set in the same world and time frame. And that ending leaves you eager to dive into the rest of them. Magnificent

I love the 1st one, of course i'll love the remake

Really good JRPG. The story kinda takes its sweet ass time, nothing happens for most of the game, but the end is good. combat is really fun
