Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Trade Empire is a medieval themed-trade strategy game "developed by a single person".
Create your merchant and start trading in the city you choose, then try to conquer trade in all cities and eliminate your rivals. Increase your prestige and influence by trading with other cities. Develop diplomatic relations to benefit from tax amnesties, port fees, warehouse and guild privileges.
Once you've conquered trade in your city, open guilds in other cities to build your own trade empire and venture into new trade.

Each city will have its own production and demands. By trying to meet these demands, you can increase your prestige in that city and establish a guild to sell goods directly to the people of the city you trade with in the future. In addition, you can make agreements with the city administration and gain nice privileges by meeting their demands.

You can use ships or caravans to trade with other cities. If you are not rich enough to buy a vehicle, you can rent one at first. You can take precautions against threats that may arise on the road, place secret compartments in the vehicles, or provide protection with armed soldiers. You can also keep bandits and pirates away by paying money to well-known captains and caravan leaders, or you can bribe them to transport your goods safely.
Determine your strategy according to the route you choose. You can choose a short but dangerous route to meet demands quickly, or a long but safe route to ensure the goods arrive without any problems.

Getting a privilege for a city is not just about working for the crown. You can cooperate with rival merchants or learn what the latest popular goods are by listening to gossip. You can learn about the goods being carried by bribing caravans and ships and learn about your competitors. For cities that are embargoed, you can offer gifts to the city administration or trade even in a city that is banned from entering by bribing. Establishing a guild in a city is the first step to winning that city.

There are over 150 products in the game, and you can either sell them when they're in stock or order them as soon as they're in demand and start trading. You can also delve into the underworld and engage in illegal activities. Ultimately, you're the merchant, and this decision is entirely up to you.
Reviews
Started the game at Athens, bought some wine and can't figure out how I could possibly transfer it to other city... No clue how what is the sell price and no info on how much did I pay for my items... So OK, opened other city and got the trade route for few items, got the ship rented, paid and ship simply delivered the items to Athens - looks like I can sell those to local market, but can't transport those to other city - all in all very confusing... Exited game in like 15min tops as it does not feel intuitive at all. Played lots of this sort of games and this one is by far most confusing... Probably Devs should release Lets Play Tutorial on YouTube to introduce everyone with main mechanics and etc. I can't recommend it at this stage, but might change my opinion in the future.

ok this game is rough in general it has alot of work to do to achieve the level the creator probably wants to achieve dont get me wrong it incomplete but other than that the potencial is there its like a rough start with enough content to keep u engaged for a few hours the price isnt forbiding just follow the progress and the development of the game and we ll see how it goes the trading system was quite nice with lots of products from the ancient times map is accurate i love how the cities have needs and urgent demands that lead to some nice quests and missions hiring or renting a ship is simple and not hard to master conditions like war areas or pirate attacks are nice addition to put more danger in game the ships would be good to have more details and stats (cannons/crew) there are different routes in the sea u can use for extra cost depending on the cash and the importance of the cargo buying or getting trade factories on different cities is a plus i would propose a few more cities i played with 4 opponents and in normal so i havent picture in easy or hard i like in the renting of ship the options of a time period as said i like hte original options even if the game doesnt feel very demanding in start it has surely potencial rating 5,5/10 hope to see some updates from developer ps the tutorial is very good and it explains anything u may need very good first impression
Surely there is a way to go, that's why it's early access. I liked the atmosphere. Can be a little chill trading game. Good luck
This game makes no sense. I have no idea how to play and the tutorial helps in no way shape or form. I sold everything in my inventory for double the price and it just disappeared. Where did it go? I have no idea what is going on. What am I suppose to do? Do I wait for trade options to become available? I don't know. How do I play this game? What is this? 1/10. Do not buy.
