Very interesting,Looking forward to a bigger map!
I played 30 minutes, in that time my PC has put my screens on black twice. I can hear my graphics card fans go crazy whenever I get near the pile of stuff to pick things up. The game puts itself on low graphics too, so i cant lower it further (which considering the other games i play shouldnt be neccesary). Maybe one day if the game is optimized or the toys are more spread on spawning. Not now.

To tyle…
I thought this was going to be a fun game like the others I have been playing, but I was VERY wrong. Expecting a new game to have a few issues after being released is normal. This game had a few to many issues in my opinion. These are just a few things I noticed while playing. 1. My computer was running a little slower than normal with the game running, especially with Youtube running in the background. (All the other games had no issues with that at all, including when I play Warhammer 40k Darktide) 2. I got several achievements for things I was still working on but got no achievements for things I had finished doing. 3. The 1-3 keys that is says does things, really don’t do anything except 3 which is suppose to automatically lock the item in a position it should be in. 4. While putting things on the shelf I noticed if the shelf wasn’t completed and I came back after placing things, the items already placed would start moving and fall off the shelf. Like some physic’s in the game were off, pick up one item and items around it move/fly. 5. Num. 4 was especially noticeable when going to pick up some of the items and it flung me through the would several times. 6. Items got stuck and there was no way to get them out. 7. While putting things on the shelves, they would disappear form my hand/shelf and respawn in the middle of the beginning area. 8. Some areas don’t seem completed or maybe the numbers on the areas arn’t correct because it kept saying some areas were completed but wernt’t? 9. Positions of LARGE items are not shown and you don’t know where they need to be placed.
This game is giving me way too much freedom. Why can I put toys on ANY random shelf? Babe, I have anxiety. I need designated places. I need structure. I need to know where the little f*cking dragon BELONGS 🥲
Toy Shop Tidy Up First off, a big thank you to Shiftmoon for sending over a copy of this game pre-release, and an apology for taking this long to finally sit down and play it. I'm genuinely happy to have gotten my hands on this one, because "tidy up" games in the vein of Library: Tidy Up seem to be the new craze right now, and this take on the formula scratches that same itch. You're handed over 1,274 toys, everything from plush animals to supercars to action figures to mecha models, all jumbled together, and it's on you to sort them out and reclassify them into a shop that actually makes sense. This game is cozy to a genuinely dangerous degree. I almost fell asleep one afternoon while actively playing it, and granted, I'd been up late at a concert the night before, but I can't think of another time a game has ever lulled me toward sleep while I still had the mouse in hand. The lo-fi music paired with the simple, repetitive act of organizing was just that soothing. What I appreciate most is that each toy type gets its own designated section with signage, so the structure is already laid out for you, but within that framework you're free to arrange things exactly how you want. It sets the rules, then gets out of your way. Performance-wise I didn't hit a single issue, everything ran smooth across a perfect 3 hours split over two days. The auto-snapping makes placing toys in specific orientations painless, though fair warning, a lot of the swords look nearly identical, so you'll want to pay close attention to the naming rather than trusting your eyes alone. Each category has its own home, sure, but where within that space you arrange things is entirely up to you, and as you clear out sections your carrying capacity grows, which makes the back half of the game noticeably easier to wrap up than the start. It's a lovely way to kill a rainy afternoon, assuming you don't nearly doze off in the middle of it like I did. —The Ember Archives https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45601239/
I do not recommend this game until there are some SERIOUS changes. Reasons it's not worth it at this time: - Picking up a toy can send you out of the map - The models of the toys + you is AI generated - The music is bound to sound effects so can't turn it down - Toys don't have to be placed on a shelf only the correct "ZONE" [for me this pisses me off] - No you cannot crouch for the stupid toys that slide under the shelves, just hope you can grab it - There is no placement notification [like I said earlier just as long as it's in the zone it counts] - No easy clear indication you're in the right area or if it's been placed without looking at the corners of your game. [Bottom right for the items, if it's green you're in the right ZONE. Top left to let you know how many are correctly placed in the zone you're standing in and overall total in the map.] Without looking in those spot you're lost until you get the notification you've completed a zone with a +1 to your carry. - Skills are just given at the start, there is no points to level skills by completing a shelf or such. There is more I could go into, but this game just pissed me off and it's hard to do that. So much stupid AI that I'm almost positive the entire framework and data is AI built. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME!
As it stands now, I wouldn't recommend this game. I was excited to play because the plushies were so cute but the game mechanics, UI and lack of tutorial left much to be desired. Walking around was slow, you could jump but I couldn't quite understand why standing in the center with the grey circle and lit up dashed line circle around it sent you out of bounds like a trampoline to outer space. There also was no skill map or any explanation as to how you would level up to unlock skills or what those skills did. Even after finishing the game I'm still not sure what two of the 3 skills are. Especially the second skill, I tried to use it to see what it did several times and all it did was send the item to the grey circle not to where it actually belonged. When it game to picking things up, left click you could pick up when not in the placing mode that you enable with right click - but when you are in placing mode you place the item with left click and pick up with F. I found this to be annoying and quite illogical. Why not just have a simple pick up and place, why have a place mode at all? There was also issues where you could place an item directly on top of another so if it was the same item and you didn't notice/were going too fast you'd lose the item not noticing there was two there. I think its strange that you can do that to begin with. I also wasn't a fan of not having a positive way to know when you've placed something in the right area. There are also a couple items that you just place randomly in their areas which was not explained. You can also place items not with the signs and mix a bunch of plushies or toys in the same area and move signs, but the areas matter to make sure you put everything in the right area (plushies to plushies, mech to mech). I prefer to things more organized in a tidy up so things have a place and something to tell me its wrong or right to place something there. I also wish there was a tutorial or something going over the skills, as completing certain areas does unlock more pocket space but nothing mentioned that at all so I was about 2 hours in when I accidentally figured that out. I also think the placement of the figures in the tall action figures (french fry man, etc.) was clunky, sometimes they stood on their own, sometimes they would just keep falling over for no apparent reason. And for my organization I was frustrated that things could not all have their own row. So overall, with a now more saturated tidy-up style game market, I think skipping this one is fine.
Leider so gar nicht das, was man in den Vorschauvideos gesehen hat. Eher lahm - hoffe die Stornierung wird angenommen.
