I played 12 whole minutes, and I don't like it. I can't refund the game because I got it as part of a bundle, and refunding it would also refund the game I actually do like. I'm never going back to this one, even with the fixes. The devs should have been paying more attention to why similar games in the same category went viral. They tried something, and that something was not a good something.

Toy Shop: Tidy Up is a casual first-person organizing simulator that turns the simple act of cleaning and arranging a toy store into its entire gameplay experience. Developed and published by Shift Good, the game embraces a relaxed philosophy rather than trying to transform its premise into an elaborate retail-management simulation. The player enters a shop filled with toys that have been mixed together and scattered around, with the objective being less about completing prescribed challenges and more about creating order from the clutter. It is an intentionally straightforward concept, but one that can be surprisingly appealing to players who enjoy organization, collection, and slowly transforming messy environments into carefully arranged spaces. The sheer quantity and variety of objects provide much of the game's substance. More than 1,274 toys are included, covering different categories and collections such as plush animals, action figures, miniature supercars, and mecha models. Since different toy series have become mixed together, players can inspect the available merchandise and determine how they want to reorganize everything. The large number of individual objects gives the store a sense of abundance and ensures that tidying is more involved than simply moving a handful of repeated items between shelves. An important aspect of Toy Shop: Tidy Up is that organization is not governed by one mandatory solution. Players are free to decide what an orderly shop means to them. Toys can be separated according to category, collection, appearance, size, or practically any personal system. Someone who enjoys precision can attempt to produce carefully coordinated displays with similar products placed beside one another, while another player might concentrate entirely on visual appearance. This freedom gives the experience a mild creative component because completing the store is not merely about discovering where the developers intended every object to go. There are no restrictive timers constantly pushing the player forward, and the absence of rigid rules helps establish the game's cozy character. Instead of treating cleaning as a race, Toy Shop: Tidy Up allows players to work through the store at their preferred speed. A shelf can be adjusted repeatedly until it looks right, and objects can be repositioned simply because the player has changed their mind about a particular display. This structure can make the experience almost meditative. Each individual action is small, but gradually seeing a chaotic store become increasingly neat provides a steady sense of accomplishment. Its first-person perspective also complements the premise. Rather than organizing merchandise through abstract menus, players interact directly with objects inside a three-dimensional environment. Physically moving toys around shelves makes the finished arrangements feel more personal. The presence of physics further contributes to the feeling that these are actual objects occupying physical space rather than decorative icons. With hundreds of toys involved, however, the enjoyment of the game inevitably depends heavily on how much the player appreciates repeated object manipulation and placement. This is also where the game's limitations become apparent. Toy Shop: Tidy Up should not be mistaken for a comprehensive business simulator simply because it takes place inside a store. Its main emphasis is organizing rather than running a commercial operation. Players expecting complicated finances, employee management, customer satisfaction systems, pricing strategies, inventory purchasing, or business expansion may find the scope considerably narrower than anticipated. The shop primarily serves as an environment for sorting and decorating, making this much closer to a cozy organization game than a traditional retail-management experience. That focused approach works well for its intended audience, although it naturally creates the possibility of repetition. Players motivated by missions, escalating challenges, elaborate progression systems, or narrative developments may eventually wonder what they are working toward beyond making the shop look better. Toy Shop: Tidy Up deliberately leaves much of that motivation in the player's hands. Someone who enjoys creating perfectly ordered collections could potentially spend considerable time adjusting every shelf, whereas players who require constant mechanical rewards may lose interest once they understand the basic loop. The presentation benefits greatly from the toy-shop theme because toys naturally provide more visual personality than ordinary storage items. Plush animals, cars, figures, and mechanical models can create colorful and varied displays, and their differences make sorting easier to understand at a glance. The environment effectively becomes a large three-dimensional collection waiting to be categorized. There is also a nostalgic quality to the concept of designing an ideal toy store, particularly for players who enjoy displaying collectibles in real life. The game is designed as a single-player experience and includes Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud support, and Family Sharing. Multiple interface languages are supported, including English, Simplified Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, and Korean. Since the gameplay is focused primarily on interacting with objects rather than following extensive conversations or narrative sequences, the lack of a major emphasis on voice acting is not especially detrimental to the experience. Its PC requirements are worth considering because they are somewhat higher than might be assumed from such a modest premise. The minimum specification lists Windows 10, an Intel i5-9600K, 8 GB of memory, a GeForce GTX 1660, DirectX 11, and 5 GB of available storage. The recommended configuration increases those requirements to Windows 11, an Intel i7-12700K, 16 GB of memory, a GeForce RTX 2060, DirectX 12, and 10 GB of storage. Managing a three-dimensional environment containing a large quantity of individual objects may explain some of that hardware demand. The developer also provides a generative AI disclosure indicating that AI assistance was used for images appearing on the game's store page. This disclosure specifically concerns promotional store imagery and should not automatically be interpreted as evidence that the fundamental gameplay systems or every in-game asset were generated in the same manner. It is nevertheless a relevant production detail for players who pay attention to how generative technology is incorporated into game development and marketing. Overall, Toy Shop: Tidy Up succeeds most clearly when viewed as a deliberately uncomplicated relaxation game. Shift Good has centered the experience on a single satisfying idea and avoided surrounding it with unnecessary systems. Sorting more than a thousand toys, constructing attractive displays, and watching disorder gradually disappear can provide an enjoyable sense of progression without requiring competitive skill or stressful decision-making. Its limited mechanical complexity and potential repetition prevent it from having universal appeal, but those characteristics are also part of what makes it accessible. Players who genuinely enjoy organizing virtual spaces should find plenty to appreciate, while those seeking deep management or conventional objectives may want something more substantial. As a focused cozy organizing simulator that understands exactly what kind of experience it wants to provide, Rating: 7/10
This game is a crash grab, after tidy up game has become popular. the game is fine, but it could use some quality of life stuff, and i really dont like the way the shelfs is made..
Cute little tidy up game !
Love this! I had some technical issues, but once I bumped the MAX frames to like 200 it was looking great. Overall cool variety of items, but damn THE MUSIC IS SOOOOO LOUD. You can't even lower it, the slider does nothing. But you can turn it off. That's what I did, just pumped in my own tunes. Truthfully this game was recommended to me by Gemini. At least he got something right for once....
I've been on a kick playing these types of games, and this one just doesn't hit for me. Right off the bat they allow you to quick gather items, so no leveling up abilities. Next they claim you can place anything anywhere, but then have designated areas for items. Lastly, items would not stay in place; I tried placing costumes and certain ones would just fall over when placed. Not the best one.
