Souzinengi V is a full-scale RPG that carries on the traditions of RPGs from the good old days. It was made with the challenge of seeing just how interesting battles could be with standard, 5-character, turn-based combat, and whether its character growth system would be fun while remaining simple.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Despite being turn-based, combat is fast and a battle is usually over in a few turns. Even bosses will go down, or take you down, very quickly. This in combination with full HP heal between battles and the lives system keeps the game going at a fast pace and allows even trash mobs to be deadly while not forcing any specific party makeup on you. The story is just Touhou; weird things happen and Reimu beats everyone up to solve it. Some scenes are pretty funny. It's enough to keep the gameplay going. Fun game, plenty of mechanics without being overcomplicated, fast pace. Yuo should play it.
Great RPG for fans of Touhou! It has very deep game play, and all of the characters are true to their characterizations from the games, manga, etc.

A charming but really throughout RPG, worthy of the Touhou and old school RPGs.
A Touhou game with mechanics of Romancing Saga [without random skill learning on battle] Story is very linear, and as expected from Reimu in every Touhou game: Beat them first, ask them later. My only regret is the game does not use specific character's theme on encounter. no Remilia theme for Remilia fight and i felt empty already. fortunately, the game fixed my disappointment by its gameplay.
Pretty good so far, it feels like an old school JRPG.
The most mechanically deep JRPG I have ever played. There are 12+ characters, and each one can be specialised further with their skill trees, weapon choice, skill choice, as well as equipment. In addition to that, the party is represented in a formation for further additional bonuses or penalties. Everyone has their own experience points and the game expects you to juggle the party members depending on the situation, so it's likely that everyone's levels don't align. However experience is greatly boosted if low level, 10x if the level difference is great. Since the freedom of customisation is so high, you can make some pretty bonkers team setups. Turn the land into a sea of fire while your party all regenerates from fire. Or perhaps a party so evasive that healing becomes unnecessary. Or perhaps a party that deals out encounter-ending debuffs like petrify or instant death and maybe a bit of incredibly lethal poison debuffs. Indeed, such debuffs are occasionally even very effective on bosses. Random encounters however bite back quite seriously. The monsters are highly dangerous at times, maybe a bit referential (hello mind flayers from Final Fantasy I), you might want to throw everything at a monster your first time meeting so you can earn their bestiary entry and look up their strengths and weaknesses. The good news is that you don't need to heal up after every encounter, you're always considered to be at full health outside of combat. There is a dungeon-based attrition system in the form of mana, bombs (resource for your powerful moves) and lives (how many times you can drop to 0 hp per character). The story is very minimal, there's an incident in Gensokyo, Reimu fixes the problem by attacking anyone suspicious. Usually in the form of short cutscenes at the start of a dungeon, midpoint, and the boss encounter. The characters are quite charming and the spritework is very cute. It does feature some new original characters that are not from pre-existing Touhou works. (They are also charming and cute in my opinion) Maybe I haven't played enough JRPGs, maybe there are other similar masterpieces out there, but until I find them, I'll be comparing every JRPG to this game.
