全战老玩家表示，重置版的游戏体验简直被原版完爆……各种夏吉尔乱改不说，画质的提升仅仅是“能看出来和原版不同”这种程度，游戏大小还暴增到堪比战锤全战的地步，也不知道多出来的东西都用来干嘛了

i give this game 6.5/10 (2025 review). download the free enhanced graphics DLC, because i forgot to :) === if u ask me shogun1, medieval 1, Rome 1 (classic), medieval 2 are all unplayable in 2025 ! if u played these games as a kid (mine was medieval 2) you will enjoy this game too. but if you didn't play these games and played empire total war or later games you will not enjoy this game ! so in conclusion it's not for everyone ! this is the closest you will come to a remake nostalgia of old total war games. --- the siege system in game is broken this is the biggest flaw in the game mechanics and it's not something minor, it's a major flaw, instead of 1 army you must almost take 2 armies, 1 just for siege. and making battles automatic will almost fail all the time, so you must play the battle and it's broken ! the problem with old total war games is it gets really boring really fast, because of this and the siege broken mechanics i did not finish the game, but i played enough hours to get a good enjoyable sense of nostalgia. in the barbarian DLC you can auto battles so that is fixed at least so i did finish the barbarian DLC specially since you can play as Persia and i like games that you can play as Persia. but even the barbarian DLC was so boring that i did not play the alexander DLC either, just like the main game i just played a few hours. --- CONCLUSION the game is broken and boring but why i give it a thumbs up ? because it's the closest thing to a remake of people who enjoyed it as a kid and you can enjoy it. the game is worth 10 to 15 $ if u ask me, not more ! i also played the game around 8 hours or so when my steam was in offline mode so this is a review after like 20 hours of play time. === i give this game 6.5/10. if you read this until here i made a game for iOS called "FatHatBoy" please check it out <3

Like many others, I have untold hours with the original Rome: Total War. It holds a special place for me as my first PC game. I enjoyed the remake, but due to family obligations, I haven't been able to play since June of 2024. My situation has improved, but I'm lucky if I have 1 hour to game a night, and I've spent several hours over the past week trying a myriad of troubleshooting tips to resolve a CTD issue that occurs every time I attempt to fight a battle manually. I don't want to waste any further time troubleshooting an issue that wasn't present in 2024, so sadly, I wouldn't recommend this game for now.

The worst optimization of any game I have ever in my entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life seen. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TERRORIST-MALEWARE DISGUSED AS A "GAME" takes more memory than Pragmata, Elden Ring, Dota2 ALL COMBINED AND I AM NOT JOKING I TRIED IT. Updated drivers etc etc this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ takes 55gb and it is still literally the same ass game with the same ass AI. ♥♥♥♥ CA, do not ever buy their products. Thank ♥♥♥♥ I don't.
