Total War: ROME REMASTERED lets you relive the legacy that defined the award-winning strategy game series. Remastered to 4K with multiple improvements to visuals as well as refinements to gameplay, it’s time to revisit a true classic. Not everyone gets a second chance to conquer the Roman Empire.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

if your like me in your mid thirties who games on occasion to relax, this is game is for you

Note: Review is for Custom Battle only. I've looked at Total War: Rome Remastered and TWR2 for quite some time but was intimidated by the campaigns. I'm old, and no good at multitasking. There may be a few of you out there like myself. After doing some research I realized I didn't have to worry about playing the campaign with "Quick Battle" and "Custom Battle" being options for people like myself. I've played Custom Battles and only briefly looked at Quick Battle. The value of Custom Battle (CB) is that they give you all the factions, you can set the money amount to build as big an army as your computer can handle, set the skill level, armor, etc. of each unit in your army and your opponent's army. What I find really helpful is that I can assign 1 or more AI team mates who will bear the brunt of the battle while I set up a skirmish team for myself to manage (3 or 4 units). As the AI teams battle I can harrass the enemy's flanks with my cavalry, archers and heavy infantry. I play the same way with other RTS games such as Call to Arms: Ostfront with the exception that in that game you can take over an individual unit and fight in first person (sadly, not so in TWRR). So, if you're like me and can't multitask, get this game when on sale ($8 CAD) and have fun with Custom Battles. I've even found a Lord of the Rings mod that has a full campaign but allows you to still do custom battles!
