Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Rome Total War was a great game that completely deserves the resurgence brought about, and had its number of issues that added a lot of friction to the act of revisiting the old classic. Yet while the remaster mostly addresses the technical concerns while also adding some much appreciated quality of life features, it also comes with a really confusing UI re-design that is significantly worse than the original, a peppering of easy to accidentally click wiki links everywhere that force open the steam browser only to throw an error, and ostensibly its own set of bugs and glitches on top of the already present 2004 jank. While it's rather unfortunate that re-forging strategy games has been identified as a viable business squeeze, I can't say I didn't appreciate being able to play this game with my full monitor, without black bars or UI stretching, and not have it crash on alt tab. I just wish it was more than a support patch sold as a transparent cash-grab.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Doesn't work.
As someone who started Total War with Attila, it's quite good. Although I'd have personally expected hoplites to be a little more efficient at killing cavalry, but whatever it is, will do. Plus points are ability to micromanage and forts, which is missing from modern total war. Shogun 2 allows no-general armies as well that you can do to heavily fortify settlements, but they also have free garrison. Here you pay for all your garrison, unlike Medieval 2. I also like how height greatly affects your ranged units. Certainly VERY nice. Downsides are replayability and tediousness. At some point your armies seem to move too slowly for the map. Lack of visibility without towers makes tracking "stray hostile armies" in newly captured provinces too difficult. Lack of auto-replenishment like it happens in newer games is also quite annoying for people like me who came from newer games. Overall I'd suggest it. Good game even if you're a newer non-Warhammer player.
CA的不用心毁掉了这个重制版
好评!但是请出帝国2吧!
Старый интерфейс был лучше, особенно глобальной карты В общем, фаланга бьет всех
GREAT GAME
THIS game is pretty hard even on easy , you will lose often your army , money and cities. They give AI too much power and it gets complicated with the economy system with its politics in the campaigns. gameplay is good but these issues in this game is frustrating.
good
This Remaster is really not good. It doesn't add much, it's a quite lazy remaster. Since Rome 1 was really good anyway, I suppose this is still a really good game, but it is REALLY a bad remaster... Summarily: the graphisms part is good, but apart from the nice new unit models I don't see what changed, nothing changed in sound part not that it was really needed, very few things added in gameplay (essentially just the merchants from Medieval 2), there are no new animations at all (despite the fact that it would have been really nice to get kill anims or agent movies from Medieval 2), the UI is better in some parts and worse in others so it will depend a lot on people's preferences and situations, and finally all the bugs that existed before in the original game have not changed at all so that sucks. The graphics update is pretty nice. Although it is mostly the units which gained a lot from it, I don't feel like the vegetation or buildings for example are much better. Also, nothing new at all when it comes to animations. It would really have been nice to have kill sync animations like in Medieval 2. Merchants are the only thing added to the campaign, they were missing so that's nice. Although I hoped for other new things added to the campaign, such as proper agent movies like in Medieval 2 for agent actions. That would have been really nice... The most egregious of all things is probably the fact that Rome 1 (not the same wtih Barbarian Invasion though which doesn't have this problem) had REALLY big problems when it came to balancing and culture/factions diversity. With Rome factions all being nearly exactly the same apart from starting position and enemies. While the other factions and cultures are for the most part left with being often devoid of units and building compared to the Romans... The Barbarian can never build better wall than wooden walls and generally are left with barely any buildings at all with cities that don't go higher than tier three... Some factions barely have any units at all and sometimes even have NO interesting units AT ALL (I'm speaking about you, Numids...) and generally, apart from the Seleucids, all factions sports a gross lack of unit originality and diversity compared to the Romans. This all makes too many factions look really samish. Though thankfully, to be truthful, most factions have at least 1 unit that is specific to them and original, or at least one original unit they share with only one other faction. The worst thing in this remaster, is that it still has bugs. A LOT OF BUGS! And not just small ones but ENORMOUS GROSS ONES! WTF?! Some that I don't remember meeting in the OG Rome 1 (but maybe my memories about it are biased or not precise enough). Bugs in campaign, bugs about characters, about units, etc. Bugs that make you lose battle, notably about path finding and such. Units refusing to respond to your orders, not charging, not attacking, or not even moving at all... Horrible. And they had so many years to correct it... Of course, no chance for these bugs to be corrected since this is just a plain remaster with no support....
