Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

If you love ancient history, you'll love this game. If you love Total War games, then you might like this game. It scratches an itch for those who like Roman history and is a decent game in its own right, but veterans of other Total War games might find it lacking. The base game is fun for a time, but with the Divide Et Impera mod, it becomes one of the best military strategy games ever. No matter what games I play, I always find myself back in Rome II DEI. Vae Victis.

Other Total War games run completely fine on my system, including TW3 and Attila. However, this game won't even launch—it just shows a blank screen and nothing happens. It's completely unplayable. I've tried every solution on YouTube, Reddit, and the Steam Community, but nothing works. Save your money and don't buy this game

Игра, которую выпустили в состоянии катастрофы, а потом годами доводили до ума. Сейчас это огромная античная песочница с десятками фракций, красивыми битвами и затяжными кампаниями. Политика душит, ИИ периодически ест гoвнo, но захватывать половину мира всё равно приятно. Рекомендую.

This game is insane, in comparison to the original primitive half accurate rome total war, this is gold. Just playing a little while and im already hooked, its really good and they made a decent effort, however it sucks that they seem to also want to make it a cash grab and make a ton of dlcs that cost almost as much as the game, despite it already being insanely expensive unless you wait a whole month for a discount. Its a big sad that CA decided to lock so much of the game behind a small fortune, or else everyone would buy this game, and probably many people have, but my advice is that once its aged enough they should do what they did for empire total war and discount it so it can be infinitely replayable and so many more people have a chance to play this amazing game. (Please note that I am reviewing this with a limited amount of time having played and my experience might change my opinion overtime. Overall in my experience so far id give it a 7/10 because of all the amazing graphics, decent accuracy, and also decent scale (for a game like this with all its limits).
