Spring Is the Season of First Meetings.
On the advice of his older sister, Touki transfers into Ainoshima Gakuen in the middle of the spring term. His heart is full of expectation of a new life in the city of Tokyo, a vast contrast to the countryside that he grew up in.
As he begins to settle into his new life, he encounters fresh faces in the student council president, Ayumi, and an underclassman who admires her, Kuon. What Touki was not expecting was to converge paths with Saya, his childhood friend from a few years ago, who he hadn’t talked to since a certain incident.
To make matters more complicated, a mysterious transfer student arrives shortly after. She seems to loathe him immediately and Touki feels that he has met her somewhere before.
Within the chaos of the present and the mystery of the past that is chasing him, there is uncertainty in the air as he forges a path towards his future and his desire to connect with others.

► EPISODIC WRITING - Unlike traditional visual novels, Tokyo Re:Connect is presented in an episodic format. This makes the story more digestible, and also means that the player can replay from a specific point in time, without having to create extra save slots.
► CHOICE-DEPENDENT STORY - As well as the main episodes, there will be individual routes for each heroine in the game. The routes are dependent on the choices made throughout these episodes, and those thereafter will affect the outcome to the heroine's story.
► MODERN PRESENTATION - Many interactive and dynamic elements have been incorporated into the gameplay. From emojis displaying when characters are in a certain mood, to the CG Inspection Mode that turns a static background into a point-and-click scenario, Tokyo Re:Connect aims to deliver mechanics that go beyond the norm.
► CONTROLLER SUPPORT - Despite being released for the PC, this game supports the use of various controllers for the player's convenience. Additionally, the flexible interface allows for switching on demand, and the ability to map your own controls.
► CUSTOMIZABLE GAMEPLAY - Through the settings of the game, the player can change almost anything that is displayed, so that the gameplay can be tailored to individual needs. Don't like the CG inspection mode? Switch to the standard reading view. Not a fan of the default textbox appearance? Change the style to a different shape, screen position, and even color.

Follow Far2close - Visual Novel Playthroughs Curator Page Tokyo Re:Connect Prologue Developer: KONEKO Publisher: KONEKO
Intro:
It's always a sad day when your best friend has to move to a new city. Shindou Touki had to say goodbye to his friend Saya at a young age. Now in his teens, he has to move to Tokyo to live with his sister after the passing of his mother. With a new home, new city, and new school, Touki has to make new friends. He meets numerous welcoming students but he also encounters some familiar faces as well. Most of them are faculty members, however one student stands out. It's his old childhood friend, Saya. From there on, he would like a reset and start anew with Saya once again.
Pros:
1. Although it is a prologue and the story is a standard childhood friend romance, I do look forward to what will come next after the introduction of Saki! 2. All the characters are fun and all possess great personalities. Touki is a reserved bookworm. Saya can be sassy, and Ayane is caring and wants what's best for Touki. 3. There is a feature during CG events where you have multiple options on what to inspect such as their hair, body, environment, chat, or you can just choose to leave. Some of these possess different monologues or dialogues. 4. I appreciate the option to zoom and pan the CG art. There is also the detailed options such as individually lowering or raising voices and other volume options. 5. The art is cute! The art by Misaki Monomi is extremely cute with the girls being adorable and the guys being handsome. The environment art is also heavily detailed. The sprite art do possess multiple facial expressions. 6. The music by Efe Tozan fits in well with the slice of live theme, and does an excellent job in enhancing the more somber scenes.
Neutrals:
1. Although it says that it's recommended to play with a controller, it feels absolutely fine playing with standard keyboard and mouse.
Cons:
1. Understandable this is a prologue, however when you finish playing it, it notifies you that you unlocked the extra content. Clicking on it doesn't work though. 2. The popup menu in the UI is handy, but if you want to lower the BGM, it also lowers the character voices or raises them. If you want to lower the BGM volume WITHOUT lowering character voices, you must go to the full audio options menu. 3. The character voices are fine, some could use a bit more emotion.
Conclusion:
Tokyo Re:Connect is a taste of what's to come, but the story and characters are fun. However, there are some issues with audio and other things. Otherwise, I look forward to the finished product. Score: 7/10 GOOD + EARLY ACCESS

First off, 3 things I want to mention I have Dyslexia - Reading is not Easy nor Fun for me. I am not a VN Player, not my thing, and 3rd thing is: I am not a VN Fan, so please be careful when sending me a VN to review (however I will probably do it, just cause). That being said, let's get started on my opinions on this Prologue. First things first, want to mention it looks like there is a bunch of work still needing to be done and that H-Scenes are going to happen. Now if they mean real Eroge scenes (Sexually Graphic) I do not know, people say Hentai or H-Scene and think it means porn, Hentai Means Pervert in Japanese. Eroge is Sexual Content, Ecchi is Slightly Sexual but no penetration or that sorta thing, like panty shots and nudity, that is Ecchi. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN THE GAME IS FULLY RELEASED, incase you want a game with no sexual content (most anime games get that slapped on it anyway... I do not think sexual content is that big of a deal, sex is natural, but whatever, some people are prudes). Menus: Easy to navigate, TONS of Options, I hope there is even more when the game is fully released as this prologue only has up to EP. 1's end. There are so many options though, like font change, text color change, font size, text allignment and tons more. So many options that I nearly forgot I was reviewing a game and thought I was doing my next English paper for college. Music/Sound: SUPER LOUD, needs to be balanced, heard the same song about 8 times in the first episode, needs a little more variety. I suggest taking inspiration from K or K-Project as their music was some of the best in an Anime that I have seen. Characters: Generic to Anime, but high change you will find someone you will like a little more than you probably should. that being said, Good Art design on them, I actually really liked it, most VN's I reviewed and have seen the art is so basic, but this was a little rough around the edges at times and I really liked it, it was still immersive. Voice Acting: not the best, a 6.5/10 if you ask me. I have heard better, but for a free game, not going to complain about it. Story: pretty good, lots of nice places to see, good art with it, makes me wish I was in this town to explore it. game has over 150 save slots, seems excessive, but I guess that is useful to save every moment you can so you do not mess up, I have seen that in VN's a lot, so it is natural. But for me who plays mostly Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure, Open World and War games, it was weird seeing that, but also made me wish more game devs would have excessive save slots in their games. If this game DOES get H-Scenes, I recommend updating this prologue with a demo of a few, it could help sales, just a gallery type thing to re-experience all those scenes (for those into that sorta thing, which I am, but I do not like doing reviews of games with Adult Content, however I will if I need to). last few things to mention: 1) Japanese Art with ENG Voices is Cringy to me (there is no Japanese Voice Option, sadly) 2) Do not select Japanese in the Options as it just changes the text to Japanese 3) Japanese + English words over options or instructions is confusing I have dyslexia and as someone who reads Japanese (studied for 6 years at college level) and is a English Speaker, this was really confusing as my brain was fighting what to read. 4) There is a nice bit of interactivity with the characters in many scenes however I wish there was a gallery of sorts to have those images and facial expressions to view over and over good game for SCIENCE and RESEARCH. Thus concludes my review of this VN. I would not buy it myself. HOWEVER (H-content willing I would buy it HAHAHA) I would recommend this to a LOT of friends as I know this is something they like. 8/10 - decent game all around, really nice art, a bit too many recycled backgrounds and songs over and over, makes the town seem extra small. Cute females, generic looking males, not a single japanese looking girl in any of these games (love their natural look, brown or black hair with brown eyes, it is cute) but the girls are all nice. Id get it to try it while it is free, it is decent and worth checking out if the tags are anything you normally play.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! This game is amazing! I hope game it will be released someday!
The beginning of the game really surprised me, not because of the story but as the character reacted to what happened, I could feel all the anguish and sadness of what was happening. I kept thinking about how I could get out of that situation, I really managed to get into the character and I wanted to help him in some way. Following the story I found myself playing for a long time without even realizing it, everything was well written and had a whole atmosphere for each event but the fact of being able to interact with the scene and the things around it, really won me over. It was the pinch of salt that was missing to better understand the situation and get to know the characters. Although I don't get so much information, I have high hopes that it will be a unique and very fun mechanic to use in the next episodes. Anyway, I really liked the game, the scenery, the music, the characters and the mechanics. They all interact in an immersive roleplay. I have high hopes for this game in the future. And for the arts and desing, man you shoot it right in my heart.

Very enjoyable visual novel, they also have extra features that makes them different from others VN. I have high expectation playing this VN at first, but it's just the prologue ;_;
