I got this game knowing it was short so that didn't bother me. But it is about an hour's worth of game once you figure out what you are doing. I got it on sale for at about half price which is what it feels worth it to me. It's a little buggy, some times you need to take all the resources off a tile and place them back down to build. But I never ran into anything truly game breaking while playing. It be nice if the Ded continued work on the title, but for what it is I enjoyed my brief time with it. Sometimes a quick game you can play and beat and put away is just what I am looking for.
Interesting but not really polished enough for the price point. The gameplay itself is very rough and includes a lot of player interaction in ways that could be smoother or better handled.

I think this is a great idea for a game and somehow both relaxing and stressful at the same time, but there's also just one level and no variance besides different tile layout so I can't see going back to this over and over. Very cool concept though.
At a dollar, this is an excellent little fun game. The graphics are engaging, the feeling of exploration is cool, building towers to expand line of sight is fun and protecting against the encroaching orcs feels about right. Clearly the game struggles once you've got more than a screen's worth of real estate to protect, but the game ends before that becomes a big problem. Looking forward to seeing what else the designer comes up with!
Very charming little game. I encountered many bugs, like building and items disappearing, or food in my fridge being locked, but I forgive these tiny inconveniences. I recommend this if you enjoy a cute indie game. There's not much content as many have said, but sometimes thats the kind of game you want to just relax with for an hour and a half. Developers deserve income, even if they can't make perfect 40hr+ games. I don't usually enjoy super big games anyways.
Very cute and entertaining game! Good fun for the price point, but needs a bit of polish. For the devs: 1) need a pause, and make sure escape not only opens the menu, but closes it too. 2) if you place an archer at a house, it becomes bugged, and you can't remove anything from the house. Archers in general are bit buggy, I had one that wouldn't level to max, but just kept gaining stats. I had him at over 30 health and 20 atk at one point 3) you can't hone in on units that are idle, or being attacked, which makes it difficult to find who's being attacked and they end up dying. 4) would be nice if the space bar would cycle through idle units, instead of just the first idle unit 5) hiding the todo list blocks some interactions (I wish could recall which for you, but memory escapes me) 6) when in the log book, pressing escape should close it, not bring up the options menu. pros: fun for the price point, very much reminds me of stacklands, but with some great twists cons: it's early access and not much content just yet, with a dash of a few bugs that aren't game breaking by any means. However it's two months out now, and there's been no updates for the bugs that are game breaking. (I'll be updating this review as updates to the game are made. I very much like where the devs are going with this!)
This is a very chill game. The music fits well and the over all game play was good. It would be nice if inventory could be expanded or something so that your map is not cluttered with junk you don't want to trash can.
Was fun at first, but has some annoying bugs. The developer doesn't seem to care, as there have been no updates or communication from them. Real shame, as this game has good potential imo.
Very basic game with simple systems. Very easy to complete in a short sitting. Wishing there was a little more to uncover. The very small number of technologies get thrown at you so quickly and easily.
The game is quite well put together and props to the dev for making it. I'm sure people who enjoy this sort of resource collection and combination gameplay will enjoy it, which is why I'm recommending it, but unfortunately the game is not for me. I want to note off the top that not only does the game have combat but that enemies can and will expand into your territory. That's not a bad thing necessarily but it was a pain point for my play experience so I think it should be noted up front. The way the items and options available to the player expand over time is quite nice, and there is a good deal of fun to be had in seeing how you can expand and optimize the use of the resources you have. The game is, however, held back in a modest way by the UI which doesn't quite keep up with the range of crafting recipes that become available to the player. You can add items to a to-do list but it's single use so you'll need to re-add frequently crafted items. There is also a lot of moving parts at any given time and most of them require your attention. Resources don't funnel into any sort of stockpile or inventory and instead are generated as floating items on the map. This may change later on but I found the perceived pressure to constantly shuffle items and workers around to be stressful. Combine that with the above fact that enemies can spawn near to tiles you have workers placed on each time a time period ticks over and things can get more chaotic than I was looking for with what looked to be a simple and more relaxed game. That all being said, again, that just means I didn't personally enjoy it and I can absolutely see how someone coming at the game with a slightly different mindset would have a good time. The game itself is very well made and put together, with interesting systems and, even from a brief look, a rather hefty set of items and options you can work with as you progress. If the combat pressure and need for upkeep and management sounds like something you'd enjoy or wouldn't be bothered by, I absolutely recommend the game.
