Nice art and sound design. However, there is little substance in the adventure and little to no sense of horror or uneasiness. The prose is dry with the occasional grammatical error.
its cool
Short and entertaining, this is a series of unfortunate events to our boy Roger. He deserves none of this but he does as we choose, with varying results of success, but all choices are entertaining to read. You got 10 endings, of which I recommend just making save states at every set of choices to speed up the process. The experience is very short, but this game is also $1 so take that as you will. But the story holds nothing back, there are some genuine haunting but also hilarious moments, and the achievement portraits look really cool.

jogo estranho, muito lindo inclusive.
really felt bad for roger. well executed game, had nonsensical events and fun violence. 5/5
Surreal, yes, but not in a good way. You can't just write something nonsensical and then expect it to be good because "lol that's so surreal lol". It's surreal for the sake of being surreal. It fails to actually accomplish anything with it, there's no depth, there's no punchline... Well, there is: the punchline for the surrealism is that it is surreal. That's not good to me. I think that is bad writing. It's obviously very cheap so I'm not offended or anything, but it being cheap does not mean it is then deserving of a positive review, and it doesn't mean that you shouldn't give it a negative review. I have a feeling that this game would have many more negative reviews if it was priced just slightly higher but many people refrain from publishing a negative review because of the price, making the review score inaccurate because people just go "ugh... whatever" and move on when they see the price and the positive review score. I'm sure many people do like the game, I'm not saying the real score is probably Overwhelmingly Negative or something, it probably is more around the Mixed mark though. ...or maybe I'm the problem and it just wasn't for me. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I'd say for the price of a bag of chips but, to be more accurate, for significantly cheaper than a 2025 bag of chips and of higher quality, This Is Not Your House feels like a classic r/nosleep story from 2013 as a choose your own adventure game. It's short, it's sweet, and by god does it scratch that itch my inner teenager has not been able to get to in years. It'll pull you through a tight half hour of lifting up every path just to see how weird this game can get. And it even has a little mushroom bop. If you don't like the mushroom bop, you're wrong.
I 100%'d the game in less than 20 minutes. It's less than a dollar. It's hilarious. Play the damn thing. There's a lot of "Well it's short, but at least its cheap" games out there. This is cheaper, more creative, and more entertaining than any other in that category I've seen. Must recommend.
Lovely short horror story. Pretty quick game but i love the artstyle and the disturbing features.
felt bad for roger until i blew up the gaff and moved close to my grandkids
