A life simulator that leans heavily into the personal finance aspect. Pay taxes, take out mortgages, trade stocks, buy real estate, start businesses, or grind your way to victory as an employee.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tons of fun for those who like games that incorporate a stock market and business aspect. I've never played the game Capitalism Plus but I have played a variety of trading and business-oriented games (Star Traders, Plutocracy, Patrician). This game incorporates a bit of sim-style management of your character's progress which sets it apart from the other aforementioned titles. Fun game and it has plenty of mods and ability to change settings if you need more/less challenge.
It might be good if you like to grind for grinding sake. Time playing the SIMs would be a better use of it. It's basically the career back path end for the SIMs without the front end. I might give it a little more love after I tamper with the advanced settings to see if I can take some of the grind out of it. Advancement takes way to long. The music is sort of soothing on better note.

Jones in the Fast lane expanded to allow for buying houses and running businesses. A simple but effective, fun, pleasant game. Been very enjoyable as a little side fun for me every now and then for years.
its just rather dull and not at all fun. No notable random pop up events, just the same boring click through the same 10 or so buttons non stop
This game got me outside and now i have an actual flower garden.
Played this game several years ago but still have very fond memories of it. Will definitely be interested in TGL2!
Pros: - If you are looking for a game where you try to make money while keeping up with basic needs (food, housing, entertainment, etc), then this game will appeal to you. - The game economy seems pretty realistic as it accounts for things like inflation, taxes, random emergencies Cons: - Basic UI and graphics - One play-through seems to be all you need to experience the game. Neutral: - There are some strategies that are more effective than others. In my play-through, I worked a retail job until I saved up for real-estate certificate. Starting your own business seems to be the best way to make money in the game, and it is easy to snowball into multiple businesses once you have one of them. - Cost. If you like this type of game then it is probably worth $12 to you, but there are other games at the same price point with much more replayability and broader apeal.
this is a game made for the elegant 24-40 year old minded fellows. The guys that enjoyed playing RCT2 as a kid, or capitalism lab. It's easy to bankrupt yourself in this. Or end the run from 0 happiness. but once you understand that, it gets easier. Just keep up with inflation. If any of you took the 80% personal loan / mortgage, i feel sorry for you. No clue what the dev was thinking with those figures. i dont even think my dog would do that, and she chases her own tail. I thought when i got AAA rated credit score, it'd drop to reasonable numbers, yknow - 6% but no, it rises. 85% APR loan. mind blowing. maybe its a joke.
Think: Sims, but abstract. Pretty fun personal-finances simulation. The only reason I stopped playing this one, is that I'd rather play the sequel.
