For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Tale of a Common Man, developed and published by Aldorlea Games, is a deliberately old-school role-playing experience that embraces the spirit of classic 16-bit era JRPGs while layering in modern conveniences and a surprisingly ambitious scope. At its heart is a story rooted in personal tragedy rather than grand prophecy. The protagonist, Jerrat, begins not as a chosen hero or royal heir, but as a simple farmer whose quiet life is destroyed by violence. The loss of his family becomes the catalyst for a journey that expands far beyond revenge, gradually entangling him in political unrest, hidden conspiracies, and threats that stretch across the kingdom. This grounding in ordinary humanity gives the narrative emotional weight, allowing the epic scale of the later chapters to feel earned rather than arbitrary. The storytelling unfolds at a measured pace, blending personal grief with broader worldbuilding. While the early sections lean heavily into exposition as the setting and its factions are introduced, the narrative gains momentum as party members join Jerrat and their own motivations begin to shape the direction of the adventure. Aldorlea Games is known for dense, content-rich RPGs, and that tradition is evident here. The plot does not rely on flashy cinematic presentation; instead, it builds depth through dialogue, character interactions, and a steady expansion of the world map. Themes of resilience, justice, corruption, and moral compromise surface naturally as Jerrat’s journey evolves from personal vendetta into something more complex and ethically layered. Visually, the game embraces a vibrant retro aesthetic reminiscent of 1990s console RPGs. Pixel art environments depict towns, forests, caves, castles, and hidden ruins with a colorful palette that emphasizes charm over realism. Character sprites are expressive within the constraints of the style, and enemy designs range from familiar fantasy archetypes to more imaginative creatures. While some indoor locations and town layouts may feel structurally similar, the overall variety of biomes and dungeon themes keeps exploration engaging. The retro presentation is not merely nostalgic window dressing; it reinforces the game’s identity as a love letter to classic RPG design philosophies. Combat operates within a traditional turn-based system that prioritizes strategy and party composition. Up to five characters can participate in battle simultaneously, chosen from a roster of recruitable allies with different roles and abilities. This larger active party size compared to many classic RPGs allows for layered tactical decisions. Players must balance physical attackers, magic users, healers, and support characters, adjusting their approach depending on enemy formations and boss mechanics. Leveling up grants stat points that can be manually distributed, adding a customization element that rewards planning but also carries consequences. There is no easy respec option, meaning build decisions feel meaningful and permanent. Difficulty customization is one of the game’s standout features. Players can adjust encounter rates and choose from multiple difficulty levels, making the experience adaptable to both newcomers and veterans. On higher settings, battles demand careful resource management and thoughtful preparation, particularly in longer dungeons where MP conservation and healing items become crucial. On lower settings, the game offers a smoother narrative-focused experience. This flexibility ensures that the adventure can cater to a wide range of playstyles without compromising its core design. Exploration plays a major role in the game’s structure. The world is filled with optional content, including numerous side quests, hidden rooms, secret characters, and concealed treasures. These elements reward curiosity and thorough map exploration, often providing powerful equipment or narrative insights. Crafting systems such as potion making further incentivize resource gathering, tying exploration into character progression. Players who invest time in uncovering every secret will find the experience significantly richer than those who follow only the main storyline. The game’s length is substantial, often exceeding thirty hours depending on how thoroughly players engage with optional content. This longevity is both a strength and a potential drawback. For fans of expansive, methodical RPGs, the sheer amount of content provides a satisfying sense of immersion and value. However, the pacing can occasionally feel uneven, with certain stretches leaning into grinding or backtracking. That said, the adjustable encounter rate helps mitigate potential fatigue, allowing players to streamline travel when necessary. Musically, the soundtrack complements the retro aesthetic with melodic, fantasy-inspired tracks that enhance towns, battles, and dramatic story moments. While not bombastic, the music reinforces the emotional tone of each region and maintains consistency throughout the lengthy campaign. Sound effects and battle cues are functional and nostalgic, contributing to the overall sense of playing a modernized classic rather than a contemporary cinematic RPG. Ultimately, The Tale of a Common Man succeeds by committing wholeheartedly to its identity. It does not attempt to reinvent the genre, nor does it chase modern AAA trends. Instead, it focuses on delivering a heartfelt, content-rich, turn-based RPG experience grounded in character growth and traditional mechanics. Its emotional core, expansive world, strategic combat system, and wealth of optional content make it particularly appealing to players who appreciate classic design sensibilities. For those who long for the era of pixelated adventures filled with side quests, party management, and slow-burn storytelling, this title offers a substantial and earnest journey that rewards patience, strategy, and dedication. Nice rpg in typical fashion. It has a bittersweet story. The characters are interesting, and talented fighters. I recommend playing this game through as the ending is worth it.
I've played a lot of smaller scale indie/RPG maker games, some of them are bad or totally generic but this one stands out as having had a particular amount of love put into it. The story is a relatively standard arc about you Jerrat the farmer having your farm destroyed and family killed, and setting off on a journey to bring the people responsible to justice. You'll meet many other party members along the way that join your quest for various reasons, and I have to say I took a liking to most of them. I appreciated the game gives you a lot of customization options in terms of forming your party with the members you want and being able to allocate bonus points upon leveling up to give you a further degree of control over your statistical spread. The game also features a pretty varied amount of side quests, some more compelling than others but none that stick out as just padding, some of it was quite fun! I'm glad the game also rewards you for exploring with items and stat boosting items littered on the landscape and in one of the 30 secret rooms in the game. I wouldn't say it's that grind heavy but I think if you want to enjoy all the side content you may have to put in some time raising your party a few levels, as some of the optional bosses and even the main bosses at the end of the game are quite tough and will really challenge you, but not in a way that seems unfair. The combat is varied and complex enough (turn based) to be able to form different strategies depending on the foes you're facing. You can also find equipment and accessories in various shops and in places around the game world, but it seemed that ultimately your stat development is more important which I think is a good focus. The game wasn't overly long either, and I got 100% in about 15 hours and a pretty satisfying conclusion at the end. If you're someone who likes JRPGs in general and are looking for something new to try out I definitely recommend giving this a shot, the art style was unique enough and I enjoyed my experience with this game. If you're on the fence pick it up on sale, but I'd still recommend this at $10.
Просто история о простом парне
karısı öldürülen kardeşimizin intikam dolu serüveni kısmen basit rpg oyunlarından farklı kılan şeyse müzikleri diyalogları düzgün çocuk gibi yada 7 yaşında birine hitap ediyor şekilde değil
While there were a few gameplay bugs that prevented me from finishing a quest and getting all of the secret rooms, I did enjoy my time here in Galehar! If you're a fan of games like the Aveyond and Millennium series, you'll probably have about as much fun as I did. I picked this up for 99 cents on a Steam sale and I think it was worth a few dollars (and hours) of my time. Is it the greatest RPG Maker game? Heavens no, but was it awful? Nope! I've played games that were half as unplayable as this one. It's basic yes, but sometimes that's what you want - just a simple story with a nice ending. I give it 6 Harolds out of 10.
玩了26个小时,这个游戏非常好玩,地图中等大小,剧情也不错,人物各有各的性格,喜欢玩这类游戏的这个推荐买。
