Was a fun expirence
A great indie title that I've watched as it's grown over the past few years. It's a casual dungeon crawler that ramps up fairly considerably in difficulty as you progress, yet remains as balanced as it can. That said, balance can depend on what weapons you're blessed by luck with. Fighting some bosses is a bit confusing at first, but easy once you figure out the best weapon and tactic to use. The big arsenal of weaponry mixes up gameplay a lot, but adds an element of luck to your run. Look out for the Frizzbee, I created that weapon for the game a few years ago! That's how I won the game :)

I like this game, it's fun. I do not play indie games that often, but this got me hooked to finish the story. I played during early access and this game has really progressed since it's release. The developers are doing amazing jobs and I hope they keep on adding to this game. As for the game itself, I would say it's really well introduced by the videos on the store page. The more I played the more I wanted to continue. The ending was satisfying and the game is great. I don't really review games so this is the best I can do : The Story Goes On (TSGO) is an adventure indie game, in which you can choose one of 4 playable characters, with their own special abilities. At the start you are limited to Aiden, whose special ability is a hook; you can hook on to stuff. You start on the first stage with a lot of rooms to explore. The object is to beat the boss to advance on to the next stage. The bosses are really interesting and strong depending on your experience on the game. There are a few easter eggs to find, to unlock characters, etc. To really complete the game you need to find all the pieces of the paper, which you get after completing all the stages a couple of times. (Pro Tip : Explore all the rooms before advancing onto the next stage) There are items that help defeating the monsters on the rooms of the stages, which you can get by unlocking crates from the keys you find around. At the end of each stage you can use your coins that you get from defeating monsters, to buy stuff that can help you go on. I really enjoyed this game and hope to see more coming to it!

The Story Goes On isn't a bad game but it is not a great game either. I had some fun with it for a while but after getting through the first dungeons and getting to a part where you complete pages to finish the story I finally gave up. The main reason is I beat the boss and the game crashed with a fatal error. That signed the move on to something else papers for this game. It's a rogue like game so because of this I did not feel like going through everything anymore to get to where I was. Catching this on sale could give you some hours of enjoyment for cheap.

Was alot of fun
The Story Goes On is a top-down action-RPG with roguelike elements. While there have been an awful lot of those lately, this one brings a lot of great new ideas to the table. The game's main advantages include that the basic combat mechanics feel great and the controls are all very solid. It's quite atmospheric and aesthetically pleasing, with an above-average orchestral soundtrack and an interesting artstyle making use of parallax scrolling. Finally, the late-game content, the "dungeons", are all beautifully-crafted. Conversely, there's not much to do compared to other, similar games -- you can see everything it has to offer in about 4 hours. In addition, the game is /extremely/ easy. With even average luck with items, almost everything becomes completely unthreatening and most bosses will go down in less than fifteen seconds. I also encounted several rather nasty bugs, including getting stuck in walls and occasionally crashing upon death. Despite that, I enjoyed it, was worth experiencing.
