Reviews
The Skin Stapler is the newest title from Tainted Pact one of the best indie horror developers around. You must play as the victims of a killer and the detectives solving their crimes. Pros + Great voice acting + Violent Schlocky Deaths + Genuinely Disturbing + Comedic At Times + Good Overall Story Tying Into Their Other Games Cons - Rather repetative - The comedy is meant to be immature which is fine but after three hours the same poop, anus and sex jokes wear thin - I am tired of working fast food in horror games Overall 7.5/10 its good silly fun that goes on a bit too long for its fairly samey content. Pretty alright. Nice story I like the characters in the game honestly and the story behind The stapler is simple but interesting. not much else to say about the game.

The dark batman we deserved but never got. RJ Green is also top quality ♥♥♥♥, 10/10, no notes. I happened upon this game RIGHT as it released with zero prior knowledge so I went in completely blind. Boy, am I glad I found it. I ended up playing the entire game in one sitting and had one of the funniest nights in a long time. Each chapter keeps you on your toes, the innuendos are hysterical without making you cringe, and the DLC is DEF worth getting. The pacing, interaction, balance between comedy and horror, and graphics were fantastic. I know the name is a bit off putting, but I promise it'll all make sense once you enter Carrion City.... So what are you waiting for? Go meet ♥♥♥♥.
I legitimately don't remember the last time I've had as much fun as I did playing Skin Stapler. This game was just an absolute hoot to play and I loved every element. Pros: ~ Voice acting: so good and so silly! ~ Art style: I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea but it was mine and it's so good ~ Story: fun, whimsical, horrifying, and goofy. ~ You can tell the dev put lots of love and passion into this game Cons: ~ Not enough time with Mr. Shrimp ~ Why can't I buy the "Wiener is Ready" alarm clock IRL? 10/10 recommend for a good laugh, quality gameplay, and a fun time all around.
I was really hoping for this one, because I like a few of the streamers in the cast and Voice work. To bad the issues I had with this game was enough make me bored and inevitably done with said game. I got to the donut store and decided that was enough. Some of the voice acting was not so great, and some of it was decent. The not so great voice acting really pulled me out of the game, left me expecting more, and I watch garbage horror movies for fun, and this stuff made me cringe. The Puppet Master series may be awful, but some of the terrible voice acting felt like it belonged in the later part of the Puppet Master series. The humor was too much, too childish even. Watching 5 people deepthroat a hotdog is too much. Last, The game play itself was fun at first, until it became the same thing over and over again. This is probably at my fault, I'm not really a simulator player. The repetition was hard for me, I do play repetitious games, but playing games that include menial chores is not for me. Overall, it's a game great for watching on stream, but to me it did not meet my expectations.
A short-and-sweet PSX style horror game that captures the feeling of a horror b-movie grindhouse film perfectly. Welcome to Carrion City, a city filled with crime and frequently plagued by serial killers. Flip between the perspective of ♥♥♥♥ Slater, a no nonsense detective that doesn't take ♥♥♥♥ from anybody, and his partner, rookie Robbie Knox, plus the victims of The Skin Stapler as you play through the game. Segments will start with a victim, in their own unique location, being stalked by The Skin Stapler before being killed, skinned, and put on display to be discovered by the local police, getting investigated by ♥♥♥♥ Slater in an aftermath section. Victims will usually be performing their jobs before an encounter with The Skin Stapler, cleaning balls and shoes at a bowling alley, making cream filled donuts, working a blood bank, and more. Investigating is pretty straight forward, checking out highlighted objects and pieces of skin stapled to the walls for pieces of evidence to unlock some kind of flesh lock to get a cassette tape. There is a puzzle in one section, but it is super simple. So much of the charm of The Skin Stapler comes from the look, the concept, and it's execution. The PSX style graphics are superbly done, capturing that feeling of a horror B-movie grindhouse film perfectly. From the setting of Carrion City, to the victims, to ♥♥♥♥ Slater, to the design of The Skin Stapler, everything just works so well to create a level of atmosphere that vibes the whole way through. The victims are all based off of various YouTube / Twitch personalities, none of which I have ever heard of before. As a disclaimer, I have no idea what kind of content these individuals create, what kind of people they are, if they are anti-LGBTQ+ / homophobic / transphobic, misogynistic, fascist / right-wing, anti-vaxx, etc..., just to cover my bases. They do pretty decent voice work though for the game - definitely a thumbs up there. In particular, I really enjoyed the voice of ♥♥♥♥ Slater and The Skin Stapler. The Skin Stapler is one I played from start to finish in a single sitting, I had a fantastic time with it. There is a demo you can check out to see if you vibe with it, but this is an easy recommendation and lots of fun. Tainted Pact does it again, another brilliant 90s horror theme game. The labour of love is noticeably strong in this one! If you like 90s slashers, this is a must!
BRAVO
HELL YEAH JANKY HORROR FOR LIFE (Be kind, rewind!) 📼
