An overall fun experience and more than a great one and done for its price!

This game was an absolute delight. I don't play a lot of horror games, and saw this one was highly anticipated by a lot of friends and streamers. So glad I bought it, I would recommend it to everyone who's debating buying it. It was creepy, corny, had a lot of funny moments and well timed jumpscares. The vibes and overall artstyle are IMMACULATE. Runs really well, too! A fun slasher horror with tons of great moments, it's unique and is a game that is gonna stick with me for a while. I'm looking forward to see what else the developers make in the future. Playing this makes me want to play more games like it, and go watch some old slasher films.

Короткая история про охоту за маньяком, наводящим ужас на покинутый богом Carrion City. Думаю никого сейчас не удивишь очередным хоррором, черпающим вдохновение из эпохи видеосалонов и треш-боевиков. Всё решает качество исполнения и оно тут на высшем уровне. Готем кажется уютной кухней в деревне у бабушки где пахнет блинчиками с чаем в сравнении с грязным Carrion City, чьи тёмные подворотни сами по себе внушают страх даже без безумца, сдирающего со своих жертв кожу. Там всегда льёт дождь и светит луна, а среди чёрных силуэтов домов только ядовито-жёлтый свет окон говорит о том, что в эти местах ещё теплится жизнь. Противостоять убийце будет престарелый коп, повидавший всякое дерьмо и, разумеется, работающий один. Однако, по всем канонам жанра начальство навязывает нам в помощники зелёного юнца, который будет идти по кровавому следу психопата вместе с нашим суровым детективом. Играем в основном за детектива и за жертв маньяка. Хотя "играем" в данном случае возможно стоит брать в кавычки, тут скорее просто череда взаимодействий с предметами и парочка совсем уж примитивных мини-игр. Детектив ищет улики(тыкаем интерактивные объекты), а будущие жертвы убийцы выполняют рутинные дела такие как приготовление пирожных, например. Глубина геймплея тут, как у визуальной новеллы. Играть стоит ради эстетики, оммажей на классические фильмы ужасов, ради жуткой психоделической атмосферы и некоторого количества крайне кринжовых шуток, которые лично мне показались лишними. P.S. А ещё в Carrion City очень красивые девушки. У автора хороший вкус на альтушек в татуировках.

Tainted Pact is one of my fav. Indie horrors. THIS game is exactly why. A great mix of horror, stress, puzzle, story, humor, incredible community involvement. Play this. Play it right meow.

The Skin Stapler is a gruesome, hilarious throwback to classic PSX horror. The grimy 80s grindhouse atmosphere, creepy visuals, dark humor, and over-the-top gore create a unique experience that feels like playing through a twisted VHS horror movie. The story kept me interested, and switching between different characters added variety. It’s short, bloody, weird, and a whole lot of fun—perfect for horror fans who enjoy their scares with a side of wild comedy.

The Skin Stapler is a convergence of different ideas from earlier Tainted Pact Games, this isn't Flesh Made Fear, so if you're looking for more of that, you won't find it here. This is more of a Massacre At The Mirage / Suffer The Night. Interactive horror with plenty of easter eggs and innuendo from 80's, 90's horror / action movies. + Great sound design once again. Ambience, OST, and the voice acting hits the 90s horror cheese factor. + Looks like Michael found his groove with the visuals. Great pixelated graphics, animations are good. + Sets up a surprising sequel. Guess I know what he's working on next. :D If you enjoy a casual horror experience with cheesy one liners, sexual puns, and light puzzle solving/interaction, with some great ambience. Pick up the Skin Stapler.
