my journey with this franchise actually began with the sims freeplay and the sims 4. but as the sims 4 started dwindling and feeling empty, i desperately wanted to see what the older games were like. i originally had to download a pirated copy with bugs and pink soups to registry entry disappearing since this game was treated as abandonware for years. then, out of nowhere in 2025, it was finally re-released for modern pcs, and i instantly secured the bag. this game is the absolute blueprint. the sheer attention to detail, the rich lore, and the overall goofiness of the sims 2 are completely unmatched. the genetics system and the little interactions give the game so much soul that newer entries simply lack. plus, the soundtrack is absolutely top-tier. going from a pirated abandonware copy to finally owning this masterpiece legally on steam is the ultimate glow-up for me.

The Sims 2 is a golden game. The Sims 2 is a golden game that has been put into a lot of passion and love. The Sims 2 offers a magnificent experience, even though it is already 22 years old, it is still holding up well. 10/10 Must Play! I recommend buying it on sale.

Самая лучшая часть в серии, на мой взгляд. Хорошо, что перевыпустили и сразу со всеми дополнениями. Работает стабильно, EA лаунчера в этой версии нет. В The Sims 4, конечно, есть свои плюсы, с новыми возможностями, более продвинутым строительством и декором, но геймплейно и эстетически The Sims 2 кажется мне более приятным.

Seems for everyone it's a sheer luck if it works or not, for me personally since i have some old drivers and directories for CC+ and other still on my laptop i have no crashes or other broblems exept of community places.... It's a lag hole... *SOLUTION* if you have crashes, i advice downloading some old games that download old directories with them, STALKER Shadow of Chernobil did it for me personally

The game is unplayable as it keeps crashing randomly. Such a disappointment. Do not waste your money.
