I Have played through through The first Outlast game and enjoyed it. That original game was in an era that hadnt been there yet. I feel like this game is just a microtransaction syphon through skins and other insignificant options that, of course, doesnt have any real connection to the game, itself. The playthrough is slow, agonizing paced rewrite of the same levels, in different environments. Playing this game singleplayer is near unplayable. The designers of the game have purposely slowed the game enough to queue the average 5 second attention spanners to immediateley open digital wallets to cure their boredom, when they could just switch titles.

If you like horror co-op, this is the game. Great gameplay loop, lots of levels, lots of progression, very high quality graphics and animations, and just a well rounded game overall. Looks like there are plenty of hours to put into it before you even get close to playing all of the levels. There are constant updates with events too and the game is already a few years old so that says something about how committed the devs are to this project
