In keeping with the Obsidian tradition, how you approach The Outer Worlds is up to you. Your choices affect not only the way the story develops, they also affect your character build, companion stories, and end game scenarios.

Halcyon is a colony at the edge of the galaxy owned and operated by a corporate board. They control everything... except for the alien monsters left behind when the terraforming of the colony’s two planets didn’t exactly go according to plan. Find your ship, build your crew, and explore the settlements, space stations, and other intriguing locations throughout Halcyon.

The game is still a bit mid, and well they really could have toned down some of the hate/disgust towards the player, ie at times it feels like i am a sidekick in my own adventure, re-lived through the npc players. It is also evident in the vidoes they made etc. it is clear, i am just supposed to buy it, so they can tell their story, but I am irrelevant to them. But maybe because of the housecleaning or possible future fallout from same makers, they have been active to try "clean up the image" in this game. with all of that said, the game is fun at times, it has its moments, and i do like how the story plays out, depending on what you prefer. The politics feels forced at times, but it is what it is. But they are still fixing it, so even though, it is a mid game, i will give it a positive mid. You can still fix the widescreen stuff, and a sligt rework of the tone of your "friends" in this game would have been nice too. But if you like a mid game, where the women hate you, if you play a male character, and seems to spend every moment to remind you. Remember, you dont have to recruit them, any of them, you can go it alone. I actually suggest you try it, go it solo, it is much better game if you try solo it. No cruches, no npc hate just because you are you. Sounds like a weird positive, right? but I did enjoy this, going solo. As in i still kept them on the ship, but I think i will go another round, and never recruit any of them, we are born in darkness, we exist in darkness, and when we go, we go alone into darkness. Embrace the suck!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

很难想象你们曾经做出辐射新维加斯,这游戏无聊到我进去玩了还不到两个钟就开始犯困打哈欠了。
Everyone keeps phasing into the ground and then I can't talk to them or complete quests

an ok remaster, of a great game. runs decent even on old hardware.
I wish I liked The Outer Worlds. On the face of it, it has quite a lot going for it: FNV inspiration. A somewhat unique art-deco vibe, with some western elements thrown in here and there. At a glance, engaging RPG mechanics. A dash of satire. Yet none of it ever comes together to make for an engaging experience. On the writing front, most of it is perfectly serviceable... but serviceable can't help but be a bit of a disappointment coming from Obsidian. There are two main threads to this: - The story hook is not particularly engaging, and oscillates between nebulous and uninteresting. This is where it runs head-first into the general world-building. I cannot take Halcyon seriously, not even as satire, when every joke is some variation of "isn't corpo-speak funny?" or "corps are evil." I may agree with both statement as a baseline, yet it still becomes tiring by hour six and, by all accounts, doesn't get much better later. It grinds an initially interesting, and actually currently relevant, setup (what if the billionaire class handled space colonisation?) through the same three variations of its punchline ad nauseam. - The companions. Parvati is about the only one who stands out, and she is a lovely presence who takes some cues from Veronica. Although it is ironic that a studio which somewhat smugly refuses to do romances, deeming them wish fulfilment, ended up making the best quest in the game one where you wingman a romance. The rest of them... they do not feel like companions, but colleagues. Even the supposedly quirky ones (SAM, Ellie, Max to an extent) leave little lasting impression. So, the writing, the world-building, and the companion writing are, at best, serviceable. Maybe the gameplay will save things? It's a bit tedious on this front as well. - Each planet is divided into explorable zones, which tend to be fairly monothematic, compact and, now a recurring theme with this game, uninteresting. Towns feel like Potemkin villages where NPCs stand around day and night, cycling through the same few animations and repeating the same tedious lines over and over. Exploration is not rewarding, whether in terms of loot or little self-contained stories. Obsidian seems to really struggle to "fill spaces", to make a place feel lived-in and part of a greater whole. Narrative reactivity is poor, which only drives that particular nail deeper. - Gunplay is... passable. I found most combat to be chaotic, but more because enemies run around like brainless chickens than because of any deliberate encounter design. Most fights end far too quickly, which might be something of a reprieve given how heavily the game recycles its enemies. Sadly, this game was very much a herald of things to come for Obsidian. Don't expect the witty writing and rich world-building of Tyranny or Pillars of Eternity II; those seem to have stayed with those games. If you want slightly better gunplay than Fallout: New Vegas and can tolerate a sub-par narrative, it's worth a shot on sale.
The game seems to run pretty well apart from the occasional npc T posing its a decent enough game, i feel the games own slogan sums it up accurately (it's not the best choice, it's spacers' choice).
It's not the best choice, it's Spacer's Choice!
if i didn't got it for free id refund it, it is so inferior optimalyzation wise to base game its unreal and the fact its only version you can buy now really says something about society and video game market i guess
It's pretty good, but the quests and greatness from Fallout New Vegas aren't really here. I really don't think the story has anything interesting to say, but it's a fun ride.
