About
On the barren island of Nuraga, you're stranded in the desert with your Grandpa. Your bull died of exhaustion, and Grandpa is too tired to march. Luckily, you've found shelter in ancient ruins where Grandpa can rest and you can look for food beneath the sand.
But when instead of desert potatoes you dig up ancient relics, Grandpa starts acting strange. He pushes you to dig deeper and deeper, heedless of the eerie atmosphere that permeates the ruins and the mysterious events happening around you.
The Old Flesh of Nuraga is a short narrative psychological horror game with treasure-hunting, branching dialogues, and multiple endings.
Use a divinatory bell to reveal hidden objects beneath the sand. Its ringing shows you where to search. Once you've found something, clean it of dirt, but be careful not to damage it.
Many items await you. Some are mundane, like a potato; others are cursed relics of a forgotten age; a few are alive. But all of them will change your fate, for better or worse.
Your Grandpa is the only family you have left after the death of your parents. He raised you with love, but he is getting old and frail.
Grandpa lived a long life. He made mistakes. He has regrets. He hides secrets. In the midst of the seeping madness, you may discover sides of him you've never imagined. Will you stay with him nevertheless? Or leave him with his sins to rot under the sun?
Nuraga is an ancient land with a long history, most of which has been forgotten. Legends survive, but they are only pale reflections of more sinister truths.
A cohort of characters lurk among the ruins: a Tomb Raider, a Warrior, a Mother, a Demon, and many others. Depending on your choices, you may or may not find them. Witness their decay and shape their final moments.

Tremendous cosmic horror story game with light, inoffensive gameplay and strong thematic cohesion. It perfectly encapsulates the fear of unknowable, vengeful gods and the foolish mortals who opposed them, while also telling the heartbreaking personal story of a well-meaning girl caring for her pathetic and deteriorating grandfather. The weight of time withers all... The story of the Nura and Cinera will stick with me for a while.

What an amazing bloody terrible affair! For the love of cosmic horror, this is a must play! Once again, Studio Ortica bring their unique vision to their games. Ever since the Yellow King I've wanted to see Carcosa as I imagined it, and Thd Old Flesh of Nuraga did exactly that. The land of Nuraga is barren, ancient and altogether horrifyingly beautiful! This is a must play for those who love the unknown, and the insanity that dwells beyond mortal comprehension!
Great atmosphere, great art direction, interesting story, interesting allegory, and clearly comes from a personal place. The limited scope of the playable setting reinforces the tone, and the gameplay is just enough to feel interactive without overshadowing the writing. I like the ways that the map develops and rewards you for exploring thoroughly. The immersive way it gives you hints is also neat. Some small issues that are to be expected from a smaller team, specifically the branching dialogue - e.g. if you eat the soup first, dialogue won't reflect that; if you speak to certain characters in a different order than expected, the dialogue can seem like a non sequitur. However, nothing that ruins the experience. This was well worth the price, and I'll happily check out the rest of this team's work!
Have had an absolutely wonderful time with this game so far! I mean, I'm an absolute wuss when it comes to absolutely anything horror game, so I've had Ethel Cain playing on my record player the whole time and have been messaging my friends things like "HELP HELP HELP PEHHEL HEPL NOISES" and "grandpa i don't wanna go back to the crypt. grandpa what if it kills me." Turned around in A Place after Placing an Item and the scream I let out was absolutely unwarranted and entirely involuntary. The knowers will know. The atmosphere is beautiful, with peak visual aesthetics and a wonderfully eerie soundscape. I haven't finished yet, but the story so far has been very intriguing and I'm excited to see where it goes. Felt like I should post a review before I die of a heart attack though (I have the fear and anxiety threshold of an aged hamster).
game good
Questo gioco è una gemma rara in mezzo ad un mare di m....a! Da ossessionato e appassionato, personalmente, penso che questo gioco sia una delle migliori rappresentazioni di orrore cosmico. Complimenti agli sviluppatori!
