Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11.29/day in the week to Aug 29 → 16.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu!!!
Bought the game two days ago and have been playing with friends and in public lobbies. I haven't had a single issue with performance personally, but I know that's a big point of contention. I like the direction and the gameplay is (in my opinion) pretty engaging. A lot of people are complaining about combat, but I personally like the clunky helpless feel when you're outnumbered, and I find the spacebar stagger punch is usually enough to keep a single enemy or two away while you trade hits in your favor. The guns punish you but not as much as I think people say — sure, it's loud and enemies can come, but it's usually a manageable group that arrives after they hear it. I find this of course discourages the use of blackpowder, but not so much I don't use them; instead, I find myself saving the rounds and auditory alert for bigger enemies I can't handle with a rusty machete or rapier. The bow and crossbow are amazing for everything else ranged. Stealth kill mechanic is underrated, as even a knife can kill most of the undead in one hit, even if they resurrect (just wait behind them). The only thing that bothers me currently is inconsistent audio on stealth kills and jumping up ladders. Everything else (surprisingly, according to the reviews) is pretty satisfactory, and the price tag is worth it if you want to help a studio finish their idea while having a totally playable and engaging experience to watch grow (but I wouldn't argue with something like an 18 dollar pricetag).

Its a little bare bones in the current state but the gameplay loop is fun and the challenge progression thus far is nice. Weapons all have their unique purpose. Hopping some new mission types and features get added. Maybe some longer expeditions and the ability to buy some better equipment than is provided from the same place you buy the tokens as you level up. (think for instance what if you could guarantee having a rapier in any mission at the cost of 15 coins per rapier. should not be available for flintlocks and maybe not even guns at all)
Be me get game on sale because friend got it and likes it/wants to play together buy game on sale friend goes on vacation for almost 2 weeks wait to play game friend gets back finally open the game for the first time proceed to be met by constant crashing via fatal error or the game freezing the moment it begins to load look up methods to fix follow 3 youtube videos, 2 reddit post, 3 steam threads, 5 google responses nothing works spent like 2 hours trying to get a game to work netting me a total of 17 minutes of playtime purely on a frozen screen Refunded
tiktok sold me a lie
The game is a very traditional survival horror game. I don't think the hate it's getting is justified. There are some stability issues, but I haven't seen anything that bad. And I do wish that the money situation was a little better (like being able to keep items until you die, or keep them but the durability doesn't reset, or _something_ to make it not a question of upgrade your weapon vs save for idols). In defense of the money situation, I understand it's intentional so you couldn't just get everything on every mission since it wouldn't be survival horror if you could bring the best gear possible every time... but, I do think it needs a _little_ tweaking. Those aren't serious enough to not suggest the game and certainly aren't enough to distract from how great the game is though. The game does a tremendous job of making you feel the unnerving urgency of not staying too long while you slowly lose your sanity. The lore is great, the voice acting is well done, the hallucinations and environment are very nice. The combat takes a little getting used to, but it clicks once you do. I imagine a lot of the bad reviews are just a skill issue. The game is absolutely worth the money if you have friends to play with. Highly recommend.
The game had a good concept and the mind game of a character becoming someone else was cool. The good things stop there. The game was brutally hard for the casual gamer and the game just became repeat quests and wipe. One of the worst things is that you dont get enough weapons and equip. for you party just a hodge podge of stuff that doesn't equip everyone. the fact that you can't earn items and keep them is mind boggling. Whats the point of playing if you cant keep your items or level up your character. Played out in about 4 hours.
