Another wonderful visual novel from Ebi. A rather quick and punchy read that really gets you invested quickly and speaks on a lot of different and deeply interesting concepts. The feeling of being an outsider is really universal, and I imagine the showcase of it here will be even more relateable to some. I'll also say, for the pricetag, you're getting an amazing value. The base price feels like a sale price. If it is on sale, it's hard to see a reason not to pick it up.
One of Ebi's strongest and most touching stories. It was written in a perfect way to capture the Maincharacter's perspective with all the nouances mentioned in the Steam-describtion. The narrative changes in the most welcome way and Ebi did not shy away from voicing the dark thoughts likely many teenagers had with regards to bullies and the things they deserve. Perfect length, artstyle is not too anime, absolutely great ending. The somewhat morbit story turned into something touching and unique without ever being cheesy or unnatural.

I've read many of ebi-hime's VN's and I really enjoyed this one. Worth it at the full price, which is modest. Short and intense. The main character and writing style reminded me a bit of Shirley Jackson's We Have Always Lived in the Castle. The visuals and music nicely complemented the story.
It's a sweet story, depending on which option you choose. ;)
The Mermaid of Zennor is a very well-written visual novel which focuses on teenage lass, Lilac, and her older (half) brother, Jesse. Though Lilac suffers from autism spectrum disorder as well as an unfair share of related conditions such as acute depression, she is portrayed as razor-sharp, logical, judgemental and very black-and-white/on-off girl. The entire story can be quite depressing, though it was impressively well-written. The UI, artwork and music are also very good. A great read though a little on the gloomy side, I strongly recommend The Mermaid of Zennor.
As someone on the autism spectrum, I can relate to Lilac to an extent. I'm blunt with what I say, I'm quiet most of the time, I'm not fond of certain food textures and I sometimes feel like I can't relate to others. She's definitely written pretty realistically and respectfully. I also admire the ambient soundtrack and the good ending made me happy for her.
Short & Nice. Nothing bad happens at all.
黑化妹啊,可怜,这可真是恶魔妈妈摸妹妹了,要是有中文就好了
deus tira todo o sofrimento da lilac e dê pra os pais dela e pra piranhas q fazem bullying com ela
Lilac really talks and narrates like she's a 13 year old girl. The way she takes things literally feels too stereotypical for my tastes, but it's forgivable. It's a painful story.
