Reviews
i recommend this game because the mechanics are super rich, and a really fun time. i think they did something really cool here, and i loved having all my little frankensteined animals follow me around and make little noises. i also loved the world design and soundtrack a lot, too. however, the narrative and vocal direction left a lot to be desired for me. they're VERY dated, which makes sense since it's 11 years old. but it's bad. it got to the point where i had to pull a vinesauce and turn them off. plus, i wasn't moved by the story or any of the characters in it. i still think you should pick this up, but just be wary of that. from a 2026 lens, i enjoyed it much more as a fun sandbox toy than a narrative experience. i didn't finish the game. not because i hated it or anything, but because i wanted to be able to play with my toys forever much more than i wanted to see the conclusion of the narriative.
A fun and quick game, probably about 3-5 hours. You may need a guide for some of the puzzles in the open world zone because you may or may not have relevant answers to the puzzles at hand. The final act of the game is a little out of left field in a fun way. 20 bucks is a fair price to pay.

This game could spark the joy of creation in those who are unsure of where to start or have never thought themselves creative. This game could rekindle the spark in creators who are in a rut and have forgotten the joy of their craft. That is the biggest possible compliment I could ever give to anything. This is not some sort of narrative-focused walking simulator now, this is a puzzle game that really makes you think outside the box, think creatively, pushes you to try something new! So many "oohhhhhhh" moments while I was playing. The voice acting is supreme, and does so much to make these characters so complex. The writing is very witty and constantly satisfying, always keeping you going forward. A very funny game. Gosh. What a masterwork. Best 4 hours of gaming I've played in a while.
This was clearly by people traumatised by an industry, and I'm here for it.
Довольно интересная игра получилась. Кто знал, что мне в жизни не хватает черепаховертолета.
Thanks for the recommendation Funke
عمل متذاكي عن تطوير بايوشوك، مثل ما بايوشوك عمل متذاكي عن الراندية.
The Magic Circle is a unique take on a narrative-driven game about making games... or unmaking them. It is flawed in many ways and part of that maybe is intentional, there is a lot of self-referential humor with attempts at reaching for some deeper meaning, which can sometimes be a hit or miss. It was an enjoyable enough experience, gameplay wise it can feel a bit more shallow than the initial presentation would suggest, but it does have a few moments of some clever game design choices.
good
If you like something new and different, you should try it, and if you sympathize with video game developers, you should buy it. Always fresh and original, a well-deserved 7.5.
