Reviews
A great game, lovely graphics and very creepy.
Even though this I originally played this game many years ago, i remember how entertaining it was, especially with the ghost hunting theme. Jonathan Boakes is a talented game developer and has created a very mysterious and atmospheric setting for this game on the southern coast of England. The game is not particularly difficult, but is quite immersive and lots of fun. I'm looking forward to returning to this setting for another ghost hunting adventure.

Year+ later and I am playing it again (loving it a second time through, and after smaller Crown games + Darkfall series ). I also just bought the book Boakes wrote in the same universe (Nigel and Lucy…yay). Not sure if we shall see a sequel game but the book hopefully will satisfy me in the meantime. —— Original post below… Almost 30 hours later...yes this was a great game that I would play again and AGAIN (once I forget how to do 1/2 of the puzzles). I started watching a play through from CJUGames and my interest was sparked. I stopped watching his play through so I could experience it myself (then went back once I finished the game). It is a very story intense game, lots and lots of reading, so if that isn't for you then you may want to move on. If you love stories of myth, pagan rituals, magical monsters and various ghostly experiences - this is for you. It has stories of kings and knights, mythical beasts and ghosts...then the occasional cat nappers and demonic family lineages. I wouldn't call it scary, but it has very creepy moments that can unnerve you - without being a jumpscare. Nigel is annoying, you can't finish this game and not agree with that but you love to hate him and all of the seriously quirky characters that populate Saxton. Aside from the fabulous stories...the town is the biggest character. I do hope the sequel (whenever we are graced with it) will answer some questions about this time trapped town...but in the meantime we have lots of demos and smaller games (in the same universe) to fill in the time.
The English version of the game is glitched, making it impossible to earn two achievements. Also, the game does not support borderless fullscreen.
Fabulous game. I loved the story, the interface, the scenery, the voice acting, the music, the puzzles. Nice and long. I used Ulyss3s walkthrough to help with some tough puzzles.
good old point & click, horror / mystery, and detective game. cheap old game, runs well and 'good' visual on modern device. it has good story so it worth to buy when on sale.
Old one, which always interesting and misterious!
Не ок!
Slow-paced, clunky, old-fashioned 3D point-and-click with ENORMOUS soul and character. Puts modern games to shame with the amount of passion and attention to detail put in by its creator. Easily, one of the best adventure games out there, at least in the "folk horror" genre. You'll get: ✔ A complex ghost and murder mystery that keeps you intrigued throughout; ✔ A ton of moody locations to explore, crafted from real landscape and village/town photography; ✔ Generous amounts of English, Celtic and Anglo-Saxon folklore; ✔ Art and literature gems mixed in the mystery, carefully cherry-picked to fit the immense atmosphere; ✔ Serious Wicker Man (1973) vibes; ✔ Droney, immersive sound design that is the driving force of the gameplay; ✔ Copious amounts of melancholy and existential dread. For modern/casual players, the clunky controls, (somewhat) outdated art style and hard puzzles may be hard to swallow, but, as it progresses, the game can really stand out as a truly unique, mystical experience. A dusty VHS tape you found forgotten in the attic.
