Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

The Last Case of John Morley thrusts players into the shoes of detective John Morley in the gritty, noir atmosphere of the 1940s. After spending several months recovering in the hospital from injuries sustained during his last case, Morley returns to his office, only to be visited by the enigmatic Lady Margaret Fordside, an English countess haunted by a tragic past.

Lady Fordside engages Morley to investigate the unsolved murder of her daughter, which occurred on a fateful night 20 years ago. The police had closed the case by arresting scapegoats, but the countess is convinced that the real killer remains at large.
What begins as a quiet look into an old case becomes a haunting investigation into forgotten places and long-hidden truths that refuse to stay buried.

First-Person Investigation – Explore richly detailed environments, from eerie mansions to abandoned sanatoriums, searching for hidden clues.
Immersive 1940s Atmosphere – A gripping noir-style story, enhanced by a haunting soundtrack and period-accurate settings.
A Suspenseful Storyline – A linear, 3-hour narrative-driven experience filled with unexpected twists and a shocking finale that will linger long after the game ends.

Most disappointing purchase I've made. The game is filled with AI assets and AI voice-acting. It ran terribly on my otherwise good PC. The story was bland, and the very first puzzle used AI assets for a typewriter (none of the keys were in the right place) which made an otherwise simple puzzle incredibly frustrating. With the amount of AI-generated slop in this "game", it wouldn't surprise me if it's all AI coded too. Do not buy. I wish I had played this when I bought it, so I wouldn't have missed the refund window.
I should start by saying that I requested a full refund. I have very rarely ever done that (and I own over 600 games). What was positive? I do like the noir style in games and movies, so that was what drew me to this to begin with. What was not positive? 1. The game contains a large amount of AI in it. I am not an anti-AI purist by any means, but I paid for this game and the devs could not even be bothered to edit the game to make sure that everything looks good and that there's consistency on names and places from one thing to the next. They didn't even double check so that the names and places are correct. One minute, a person's name is Bloomsbury. Then, it's Blumsbury. A doctor's name is said as Sheridan, but it is spelled Sheridnant and Dheridant. The victim's name was Elody, but in at least one instance, it's spelled as Elory (with an "r" in place of a "d"). These are just a few of the typos. There are likely a dozen more that I'm forgetting. It went from being mildly annoying to being an example of laziness. How hard is it for a dev team to actually look at the names of people and places and make sure they're spelled correctly? 2. The lighting is TOO DARK. If I'd known that our detective was going to wander around in the dark for almost all of the 2 hours I played this, I wouldn't have bought it. Why would he go to a crime scene IN THE DARK? Especially if he's got permission to be in the location? And has a key? And there's no one else staying there that his arrival would disturb or bother? Why not go in the daytime so people can SEE what's in the game? I'm guessing to hide the AI assets more effectively. 3. Also...even though I'm not bothered a huge amount by jump scares, there are a couple in the first 2 hours that might bother people who hate those. What a shame. I love detective games and adore Noir, but this? I can't put up with it. Maybe you can? If so, more power to you!

6.9 hours it took me so yes, very short. Still, sometimes short is good. Get it at a discount price.
Boring is the single best word to describe this game. The only puzzles to be solved require the player to move through rooms and click on buttons to read a letter, activate a video, or open a door to another room. There is no real transformation of the environment that requires problem solving skills. The story is also transparent. I quickly realized who the killer was, nevertheless, I had to endure a plodding set of videos in order to finish the game.
Wonderfully atmospheric and with a twist that I didn't see coming, though that has more to do with intentional misleading on the part of the game and some plot holes that you cannot look at too closely or the whole thing unravels. That said, this is more of a walking simulator than a puzzle game where you are truly only asked to solve a few puzzles, but most times you find a key in the only open room, which lets you into another room where there is another key lying on a table. Mystery games are hard to do well (or write well); you need to work backwards and be meticulous with clues. This one suffers from a few profound problems: early explanations for things that happened to the detective prior to the story feel unbelievable, already making one suspicious of the game's writing from the start; there was a profound lack of attention to detail resulting in characters' names changing throughout the story because no one proofed it, missing sounds and textures, and leaps in logic; inconsistent understanding of their own game mechanics (i.e. we can visualize past events as described in diaries or which can reasonably be assumed due to clues, until the game gives up on that and just starts letting us listen in on past conversations of which there is no record); there is some truly sloppy AI art that remained in the game post launch (it gave me a good laugh at least?); and the twist, when it comes, is good but is trusting that you don't look at or think about anything too deeply after that. In spite of my complaints, I did enjoy this. It was a interesting story with a great atmosphere. There were moments that were memorable and it hit the tone of a noir story well. I'd absolutely recommend it to someone who just wants to kick back and get lost in a story. It's like a summer movie--come for the atmosphere, don't think to hard, and let it all wash over you.
Unfortunately, try as I might, I am unable to play the game as the display does is TOO DARK and I am unable to see anything.
This short interactive story is a nice way to fill a lazy afternoon. I give it a difficulty level of 1 - no serious puzzles or obstacles. It's purely a boredom buster - perfect for when you want to shut your mind off and enjoy a good story.
Pretty good game. Not without it's bugs and minor flaws. Well worth the playthrough though. The exploration and puzzles and general story are not bad but not great. I enjoyed it. Even got it playing pretty well in VR using UEVR. The ending was interesting.
Explicitly using AI slop for the art - major L. lame ahh game
