Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

Good graphics. Poor guidance - targets are not clear and I foud it very difficult to figure out what to do. If there are explanations I could't find them. Grinding, grinding, grinding. Octopus mobs which spawn critters are by far the most common mob and gets boring quickly. Snap is poor, particularly wrt boat controls. Avatar gets stuck for no obvious reason. 30 minutes travel time to refuel with oil - then got one shotted by a mob I never saw - twice. Seeding a human needs several trait slots filled, maybe 12?? No obvious instruction on what foods and enhancements you need to use. 12 factorial is a very big number. You need to rechage the avatar often but the charging cable has three modes and you need to toggle through to the last to get the best charge mode. Coordinate numbering of buildings has zero relation to the map. I found plans to build a helipad on the boat but couldn't find out how to build it. Good graphics.

By far, *The Last Caretaker* is one of the most immersive games I’ve played in a while. It’s extremely addictive. There’s definitely a learning curve, but once you start understanding how everything works, the game gets better and better. I’ve only been playing for about a week and I’ve already sunk over **90 hours** into it. That alone should tell you how hooked I am. My biggest negatives are the bugs and crashes. The game can crash pretty frequently, so **BACK UP YOUR SAVE OFTEN.** Losing an hour of progress in this game hurts because you can accomplish a ridiculous amount in an hour. The learning curve might turn some people away at first, but I’d encourage people to stick with it. Don’t just rush from Point A to Point B. **Explore.** Take your time. Build small bases and stock them with supplies so you have resources around the map. Dismantle everything you can because those materials add up quickly. Keep your ship organized and actually enjoy the journey instead of rushing through objectives. Once everything starts clicking, the game becomes incredibly rewarding. There’s something satisfying about slowly building up your ship, resources, equipment, and understanding of the world. **My rating: 9/10.** If the crashes and bugs were cleaned up, this would easily be even higher for me. The foundation is absolutely there. I can’t remember the last time a survival game had me this addicted.
Never enjoyed a crafting game until this gem.
Not sure I can return to this game after 156 hours. I met a game-breaking, progression-stalling bug early on, so a majority of my time spent was just going place to place trying to figure out how to push the story along (there are very little clues in the game itself, or the clues don't work, see below). Exploration and upgrading was great, and I really enjoy the base-building and recycling aspects, even searching for junk. But after bypassing the 1st critical bug (you couldn't advance the story without this bypass), I met with another bug that just wastes your seeds and wastes your now-incredibly-precious IRL time by not producing the product from your "ingredient" inputs. Honestly I was able to upgrade the entire tree (L30+) by the time i advanced what should have been a L10 task, but it made me look back at how much time I invested into this game (I bought it instead of SN2), and I cannot see myself recovering from that time spent to jump back in. There is such a thing as too broad, and the data in the logs didn't match the world's conditions or locations, so I no longer bothered to continue to investigate based on log info. It was worth the money I spent, but I can't see myself ever returning to complete this game.
PERFECT
This game is so underrated guys.. runs amazing on my mid gaming setup, absolutely love it. It has its quirks, it isn't for everyone, but I'll be damned If I haven't just spent like 3 hours in the first little waypoint area once you get on the boat. It just clicks, try the demo, I beg of thee.

nice
this is cool
The resource gathering, crafting, and building is very enjoyable to me, with a wide variety of machines to build and resources to transfer between places with a cabling system that is easy to use. The environmental storytelling and bits of information you slowly collect are also very well done and interesting. Has a very good atmosphere overall.
