Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

Great game. I am really enjoying it. A few of the controls are a little difficult to get used to, but It's understandable, there are a lot of things you can do.
i love this game, but maybe a key binder would cool

I love this game because. BOAT. But its a fun semi-survival open water game that I plan to sink hundreds of hours into. Especially if they keep expanding/updating the game. It has potential! The story is pretty interesting once you get going. leveling feels stable and straight forward. The boat handles like a. Boat! it is rather well structured for building upon, with pretty much any surface able to hold something to it. Weapons feel okay, the lack of sights is annoying, took a bit to get used to. You do get sights later on so I see where they are coming from. But adding standard sights and creating bullet drop will stop me from destroying enemies from far away. Spread things out! I am in a big boat! With too much fuel/batteries to use, adding days where there is 0 wind. Making me rely on fuel/battery, would add to immersion! Especially going the distance! Or in storms that last a good while! Or not at all doe days on end! Distances aren`t very long. 10KM or so is fine for most, but its too quick! Some may get bored. I however will not. I spent 8 hours in StormWorks Build and Rescue filling up a tanker, and traveled that full 200KM to the right. Another 8 hours. I sunk nearly 500 hours into that game. I LOVE going the distance. I LOVE boats. This game would be perfect for it! I didn`t think i would get to the Lazarus so fast. There are gripes, and I`m sure others mentioned this. The game needs work, proper optimization. It has HORRIBLE ghosting, it relies too much on deep learning, AI whatever, and the engine or graphics card cant keep up. I`m rocking a 5080, it should be able to render this game natively on its own with no AI frame generation. And it does, 70 or so FPS on high isn`t too shabby with AI turned off. Being on ultra drops me to about 48FPS though. Not so hot. You ABSOLTLEY will need 11GB GPU minimum, and 32gb of system ram to play the game smoothly. It is rather demanding. On my high, native preset it uses about 14.5-15.8GB of ram, and 7.9-8.2GB for the GPU depending on what you are doing. If you don`t have that, Low to medium settings will be the best bet. The game will warn you about this. Hopefully with optimization they can lower that number so everyone can play the game. There may be things I missed, or haven`t even noticed. But other than these little gripes, that will likely be fixed in the future, and receive plenty of updates. It is early access, and still has a road to go down. I cant wait to see where it drifts! I fully support the Devs with this one. I do recommend playing the game. Give it a shot, It is really fun!
some wierd assets but all in all a fine game
By far one of the best open world pure survival games with quite the in-depth story. Just when you think your at the end of it, you find out that was only chapter 1. It's downright gorgeous and very relaxing. No actual complaints about the game, the devs continue to add things that make it better every update.
**172 hours in, and I’m still finding things I didn’t know existed.** I’ve been playing *The Last Caretaker* since it released into Early Access, and I’m sitting at **172 hours** now. There is honestly so much to do in this game that sometimes it can feel overwhelming, and other times things can get a little boring depending on where you are in your progression. But somehow, I keep coming back. The new **Committees update** is a great example. After all this time playing, I JUST learned that you can actually target specific traits. I had absolutely no clue that was a thing. At 172 hours, the game is still teaching me mechanics I completely missed, which says a lot about how much is packed into it. That being said, I have one major complaint: **THE RHINO. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FIX THE SFX.** You use it to cut scrap and the sound just... keeps going. And going. And going. The only way I’ve found to make it stop is to hunt down another piece of scrap and cut it again. Nothing like trying to save humanity while being haunted by the eternal sound of a power tool. Outside of that, this game is awesome and I’m excited to see where the developers take it. The biggest thing I’d love to see eventually is a more developed **endgame**. Once all of the Committees are formed and the mission has succeeded, let humanity actually start coming home. Imagine humans returning to Earth and beginning to rebuild civilization at **Eden**, with Eden slowly becoming populated and changing as more people return. Or take it even further and let us build around **Lazarus** the way we can build around Eden, eventually turning the hub into the center of humanity’s return to Earth. After spending the entire game preparing for humanity’s future, I want to actually **see that future happen**. 172 hours and counting. Absolutely worth playing, especially if you enjoy survival, exploration, building, resource management, and games where you can lose an absurd amount of time because you decided to do "one more thing." **Now please fix the Rhino before that sound follows me into my dreams.**
awsome game
Fantastic game.
I am pleasantly surprised by this game; it’s been a long time since I’ve had so much fun exploring a new game! However, I’d also like to make a few suggestions: please add co-op multiplayer and give players the option to name their ship—with the name visible on the outside of the bow. Otherwise, I think the game is simply fantastic and look forward to everything coming in future updates. Much love to this amazing developer <3
