About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

AMINA KOYAYIM TODD HOWARD! To the developers, I really loved your game! If you add Turkish language support, I'm sure you'll reach a much larger audience! Best regards,
I love the aesthetic and old-school feel. The world building is solid too, but i have to recommend waiting for more fixes, the game feels like its only just out of alpha and there's far too many early game bugs. Camera issues and item equips being the most infuriating personally. It needs more time to iron out the kink so I wont be refunding, I'd rather wait and come back when it's in a playable state.

Only discovered this from that one video saying F**k Todd Howard, but its a definite gem in the works. I look forward to the complete product but I had my fun with what felt like a game with the best parts of the Elder Scrolls series and none of the bad. Seeing a game with a unique artistic design was great in an age increasingly dominated by soulless games with only Unreal Engine 5 slop or DLSS5 AI crap.
Fun but very empty world. There's isn't much to see.
Genuinely pains me to select that button, but I cannot for the life of me get this game to stay borderless windowed when I alt-tab. The performance of the game was great this most recent update (Update 8), but I physically cannot see the upper tenth of my screen when I play this game. Alt-enter didn't work, F11 didn't work, screwing around with making the game fullscreen or just windowed didn't work. Hell, even Borderless Gaming didn't work. I cannot get this damn game to let me play it in fullscreen. The BEST I can do is 1600x900 windowed using F11. It is always offset by the taskbar unless it's forced windowed in 1600x900.
Just amazing in everyway
Tried to play it but unfortunately a game with graphics that look like they came from 40 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years ago cant run on my pc with an rtx 3090 and a 12 core cpu... kind of pathetic to release a game in this state.
The game need serious work. Full of game breaking bugs and the peer to peer is terrible, full of desync. But the game has incredible bones and dedicated devs so I'm extremely hopeful for it's future.
Is it janky? Certainly! Is it fun? Yes! Graphics are... an acquired taste. The world is cool but feels very empty. A lot of quests basically ask you to go into the middle of nowhere and find an NPC/object. The story is intriguing but also vague. Some things get a proper explanation, but others rely on the player's interpretation. I'm gonna assume most of the stuff is probably saved for the next game. Overall: not bad, but sometimes feels like a half-cooked appetizer for The Holy Fool.
Great early access keep it up, nice to see devs updating so actively
