About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

The dev has been incredibly responsive. I have full faith in this game and the next. Take my money. 10/10 experience. 10/10 graphics. 10/10 gameplay. 10/10 sound design. 10/10 cooperative fun. Clearly a love to what Elder Scrolls should have been.
Recreates that scrolls feeling quite well, without the crashing or horrendous bugs of a genuine Scrolls game. Still, it is an Early Access game and it definitely feels like it. Besides that, it looks good, it runs decent enough and 20 bucks aint too bad. (Price may rise in future.) If you're itching for ES6, Laughless Saint is a good, Non-Bethesda, substitute.

Rather fun and the developers are actively working on bug fixing, and have fixed many bugs already!
Great vibes, saving this for when i can play for more than an hour. I have a great feeling about this game!!!
finally an original indie scrolls like RPG with an interesting world, lore, characters, and setting that is refreshing as it feels genuinely creative and not another overpriced corpo coded goyslop game. edit: i also feel it important to note that it feels they haven't exceeded their capabilities. what is there is really solid and they are slowly fleshing it out based on live feedback from the community. i'm hopeful for this team and game's future.
Very fun multiplayer RPG, you and your friends can be each others abuse goblins and training a skill grants meaningful growth on your character. The Devs have been going insano style releasing updates for this game and I have great hope for its future.
i can play as a naked cat and punch the ♥♥♥♥ out of anything and everything 10/10
There's a lot here to have fun with, especially at the price point where it is now, which I believe is 20$. Was able to make a nearly permanent spellcaster with a few perks that are able to taken almost immediately after starting the game and doing a quest or two. There's already a lot of room for strange builds, but I hope the dev will open up the general perks and tighten up some of the skill specific ones to be more build defining. The negative to the game is that the dialogue is voiced, so you don't have as an immersive, exhaustive set of responses from NPCs. I hope they pivot to that and just try to afford the voice actors later rather than have a quarter of the current dialogue per NPC that current exists. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't work quite right. Spells will fizzle on terrain and don't shoot out directly from character models, so you have to put some almost spin on them to get them to hit right if you are in a town or heavy terrain setting. Stairs in towers will make your character jitter the entire climb up, no matter if you are sneaking, walking, or running. Just avoid lockpicking as much as possible for now or try to make a spell to do it. It feels bad and is bad. At this point they need an entire rework on it. Given the price point of the game, unless they up the cost at full release, I don't know if all the issues will be resolved that currently exist, which is kind of alright as it is almost being marketed as janky Morrowind. It's fun, interesting, and will divert me when it's fully released for around 25 hours, is my guess.
Very promising game. Needs some fine tuning around performance but otherwise very enjoyable
Given some additional development time I think this could be a great game, and it certainly is fun to hop into and mess around with for a bit. Something about it though is simply not engaging for me past the 10 hour mark. Might just not be fleshed out enough with enough variation at the moment to keep me playing at the moment but looking forward to how this progresses.
