super good
Beautifully made game. The story catches you from the begining, exploring through the alien landscape and finding clues about what happened. It's not an open world as I expected (my bad), but getting off the path and will reward you sometimes. The story will guide you seamlessly through the world, i got totally immersed. It has interesting ideas, as the protagonist is a biologist, I really liked her perspective on the subject. Visually, is amazing. The artwork, the whole atompunk style, is fascinating. Great voice acting too, very well done. I would totally recommend it if you like the theme and a short but deep story that will stay with you.

Что то похожые на "Firewatch" мне зашло
Disclaimer: I have not read the book, so I don't know what kind of influence on my enjoyment of the game that might have had. I liked the retrofuturistic aesthetic of the game. And a sci-fi game exploring a foreign world with a bit of mystery could be interesting. However I didn't feel much like exploring Regis III. Most of the planet is barren with not much to find in the occasional dead end. And since the protagonist Yasna is a slow walker and already out of breath after 20 meters of running, I soon stopped even trying to walk off the beaten path. Later you can drive around in a rover, but at that time I already gave up perusing. Most talking is done via radio with your colleague in orbit. Remote-only conversation can work if done right (see "Firewatch"). But the chemistry in this game is off. I didn't feel like talking to a real person that values what I have to say, but rather exchanging a few frosty (but trying to stay professional) words with a superior who gambled with the lives of his crew. I also had my problems with some dialog options. Occasionally you can either outright reject any biological explanation for the stuff you witness, or you can entertain the possibility that there's more to it. I usually selected the latter. However a few minutes later Yasna comes up with a full fledged theory about new life forms, how they interact with their environment, how they procreate, how they came to be, what they did with the crew mates etc. Based on what? Two sightings shortly before I blacked out and a handful photographs? I felt rather like a conspiracy theorist than a scientist. Anyways, long story short: "The Invincible" rubbed me the wrong way. It's not a bad game per sé, but also not a game I'd recommend. I liked the style and the integration of the comic book to keep track of events. But that's about it.
