güzel geçerli bir yapım
3 out of 10 Basically, it’s an interactive movie. A very boring and uninteresting one. The dialogues are weak, the story didn’t impress me. And there’s nothing else to this game.
Literally fell asleep several times during the game. I remember playing Firewatch, and quite literally loving every second of it. This game was doomed to have "boring" parts, due to the simple fact that YOU ARE on an isolated planet! BUT don't go stretching out the feeling of isolation, and tedious travels to the point of gamer condemnation. There are parts that should've either been skippable, or non-existent! I get giving the story a sense of dread, but honestly, you're making a game end of the day. The in-game comic where you can see parts of where the story was adapted or derived from are actually more interesting, and paced way better. I love deep stories, and I consider myself fairly patient as a person, but this was just tiresome. So much yapping, prolonged technical explanations (part of which was my fault, cause you CAN choose to either stay silent, or choose dialogue that makes it look like your character is either dumb or against certain ideas), and traversal that is just TOO painfully slow! Even some of the vehicle parts became a bit too "Are we there yet?". Plus, sprinting continuously can land you in fatigue, so there's that to look out for as well. I aactually played this game years ago when it launched, and it was bugged (A game breaking bug where I literally could not progress). Hence why I left the game. But it recently went on a ridiculously low super discount that I HAD to buy it! The overall story is nice, I must admit, and it is very well optimized graphically speaking. But it truly comes down to how much are you willing to endure to see this story through. The ending was VERY disappointing (to me at least). I got two endings, not sure how many there are, and both felt like either the budget ran out, or the cord of development was just cut. Do not buy at full price would be my advice.
I am really not sure what i should mark it as. Reccomend or not? Its really splitting me between the two. Game, visual style, plot - really good, I enjoyed every minute of it. Except when i didn't. And i think its the right call to post a negative review to remind the developers that its maybe time to fix a really beautiful otherwise game. Optimisation - abyssmal, especially second half of the game. Stutter sitting on a stutter with a bit more stutters. On a pc above whats recommended and without any change when you lower graphics (and thats not my problem, community discussion and reviews seem pretty consolidated on this) Movement - feels sticky, camera sensitivity seems to change +-50% every few seconds based on what is going on, makes you feel dizzy when mouse movement just doesnt correspond with the character Stamina and non-rover based movement - really slow, but its OK i guess if i could enjoy the views without the memory leak stutters, blinding helmet dust and possibly a slightly wider fov A lot of invisible walls where they dont seem to be appropriate. Instead of a cliff or a bigger rock they just put a wall here and you wouldn't know it unless you bumped into it. Even funnier when later in the plot it suddenly disappears and you can suddenly climb a rock you already deemed unclimbable. This feels cheap and ruins some experiences where you have to go around a hole to reach the other side because 0.1 pixel of a height difference doesnt let you go straight. In the ending if you misclick the dialogue or misunderstand what it means before choosing it - you are done, ending is now ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and you need to sit through 15 minutes again from the last checkpoint. I can reccomend the game as a piece of art and for its story, but as an interactive experience it does not feel
I am a cautious recommend on this game. First off, I'd like to say this is largely a narrative experience with few game mechanics. The environments are gorgeous, the voice acting is compelling, the story is engaging, and the aesthetics are truly a joy to inhabit. But this game is really about choosing a path for you and walking that road. If you're a completonist the save system might prove problematic for you. It doesn't seem like it's easy to go back and try different narrative branches. But if you play like me, you generally make your choices and live with them, so this isn't the problem it might be. I'd suggest, if you like interactive narratives, and you like retro-era space stories, then The Invincible is a great version of that. I'd recommend waiting for it to go on sale, as again, there's NO game mechanics - not even really quick-time events. But it's gorgeous, immersive, and cool to watch the story unfold.
I am a big fan of Lem and The Invincible is one of my favourite books from this author. I really wanted to like this game but there was something missing. The biggest problem of this game is that there is very little freedom. I like walking sims, I really do. But I feel they only really work when you can choose where to walk and explore on your own. That was missing from this game. The only way was forward. There were some minor, scripted moments where you could choose where to go but I feel that doesn't count. Even though you do make choices that matter, you end up in the same linear chain of environments that the devs wanted you to see. This wasn't fun for me. The art deserves praise, that was the best aspect of this game. Very pretty landscapes and environments clearly made with love. It's a shame that they were not explorable beyond what was strictly required by the narrative. The music was good. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. It's not a game I would recommend to anyone. The authors just didn't respect the medium they had chosen. Or maybe they didn't have the budget for anything but the bare minimum in terms of gameplay, having spent a fortune on 3d modelling.
Great
COOL story, chilling, amazing enviroment
