About

Psara is still there, beyond a black sea, on an island no map or mind can hold for long. When Elias Whitmore begins dreaming of a dead lighthouse and shores that speak in his own voice, he follows the route leading to the island. But its abandoned streets do not merely feel empty. They feel as though they have been waiting for him.
The Dark Forest Calls is a story-driven first-person survival horror game that binds light, sound, and memory into a single threat system. Explore fog-shrouded Psara, reconfigure its failing power network, manage scarce resources, and piece together why the island slipped out of the world's memory.
Darkness conceals your movement, but it also steals your sight. Restoring a generator can bring doors and machinery back to life and open new routes. Yet every running engine, open flame, and violent sound sends a pulse through the unseen network beneath the island.
Power is both access and invitation. Know when you need the light, and when you need to extinguish it.
The creatures roaming Psara react to light and sound. Running, firing a weapon, knocking something over, or activating a machine at the wrong moment can reveal your position. Read the space, identify your exits, and manage silence as carefully as ammunition.
Melee weapons and firearms are powerful, but every confrontation has a cost. Ammunition and healing supplies are limited. Choose your target, control the distance, time each attack, and remember that survival sometimes means leaving a fight unfinished.
Psara's zombies are not the result of an ordinary outbreak. Their names and identities are gone, leaving old duties, fears, hunger, and fragments of ritual to reshape what remains.
Some carry light. Some guard a door or machine without end. Others awaken bodies that should have remained still. Before committing to a fight, learn what the creature in front of you is still trying to repeat.
Search the harbor, fog-bound settlements, power facilities, mountain passages, and underground tunnels. Conflicting journals, maintenance reports, clinical records, and voice recordings recount Psara's final days from different points of view.
No document tells the whole truth. Neither does Elias.
Divide limited inventory space between weapons, ammunition, fuel, medical supplies, keys, and objects that matter to the story. Use the power network and the tools you discover to reach sealed areas. Decide what to leave behind without knowing what the next path will demand.
The evidence you uncover, the accounts you trust, and the memories you choose to preserve will change the meaning of your final decision.
Psara was forgotten for a reason. Some places should remain forgotten. Some mistakes refuse to be.
