I cannot recommend this game to anyone EXCEPT to the hardcore TBoI andies. The real ones. The kind of guys that 100%'d Repentance. The type of beasts that feel the games are now a bit too easy. Eternal mode is your pick. If you're not one of those people, just play Rebirth (Repentance). I got reminded of the frustration of being so bad and incompetent at the game to take damage from a pooter and got reminded of the satisfaction and joy of achieving something great like the "X Boy" achievements or beating a final boss in eternal mode. I love Isaac. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved this game, but I also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated this game. I will NOT become back my money.
