The August Before

Cute game, and I liked finding out the respective stories (although it doesn't feel like anyone involved was that great tbh!)

Not terrible, but not worth the time in my opinion. It was pretty short, not that a game is instantly bad because of its length, but in this case it wasn't such a good decision for being THIS short. It should have been at the very least double its length, heck even triple to try and tell more of the story and its characters, which the information's pretty vague as well. I know the overall story and characters are told through the items you find while cleaning up the rooms, but even then they don't offer enough background to even understand them. Honestly all I've understood was these three girls (friends with each other) had to clean up their places before going to college, and a possible lesbi romance (?). I know, pretty basic but that's all I left with after completing the game. And another thing that existed in the game: being able to climb on chairs, and that was used only in August's room. That "mechanic" was not used ever again. Not in Ivy's room, nor Beth's. The only reason I would even recommend The August Before despite my negative review would be for achievement hunting, since it's pretty easy to finish under 2hrs (if you get some prep time beforehand). Otherwise, a forgettable and lackluster experience. P.S.: I want to thank Pheezo for receiving this game (check him out on Twitter as well, great guy in general).

It's just not really all that good. It's painfully buggy (items getting stuck, disappearing, somehow getting trapped in state of being used and not being used at the same time, so on), parts of it aren't very intuitive, and the story is vague and tells you as little as possible without going much of anywhere with it. I like these kinds of cleaning games, but this has to be one of the most "whatever" ones I've played. If the gameplay itself is buggy and slow, it's really hard to look past that even if the story is really good, and this story isn't even good, lol. I'd pass, try out something else. I like what the dev team was gunning for but I think it ultimately fell short. I will say that unlike other people in the reviews section I did not have any issues getting 100% outside of the game just being inherently buggy and vague. All achievements popped when they were supposed to, but damn did I have to fight the game for a couple of them.

Офигенная игра просто пушка гемплей, графика, музыка, ааа история вообще отпад. ОДНОЗНАЧНО СОВЕТУЮ ЭТУ ИМБУ!!

игра клевая, сюжет достаточно печальный, графика, геймплей, и впринципе атмосфера игры классные, но до многих веще мне пришлось догадываться с горем пополам из за чего чувствовал себя тупым дауном, а так игра очень приятная, разработчицы постарались хорошо. 10 собранных носков из 10
